@@SuperTacticalcom Henry leaving Witcher for Superman is solely a fan-based speculation. The reason for that is Henry announcing his return as Superman shorty after he left Witcher. But the main reason, which is also speculated and not confirmed, are his differences with the Autor/ExecutiveProducer/Showrunner of the show. Ultimately we can't now for sure what is the reason behind it.
You can tell what kind of friends they were on set. Henry made everyone actually want to be there. And him leaving is like half of everything is just gone
She's fine and they could have made it work, but the writing is giving her nothing to work with and completely ruins the character. Not really her fault, she just took a job.
@@teddyharvester Yeah. She is miscast for sure, but she tries. IF the fucking writers weren't actively sabotaging her whole character she probably coulda pulled this off.
@@TheSLashera And yet, she will be the new main-character in Witcher, with Henry gone. Liam's Geralt is more of a side character as far as I read. Henry's Geralt already was moved more into the background with Yennefer teaching Ciri and "trying to be a mother", which also isn't accurate with the books.
@@MikaeruDaiTenshi It is accurate with the books, but it's done in a completely butchered way. There was a chapter of bonding between Yen and Siri in the books, but that never shifted the main character perspective away from Geralt.
@@TheSLashera Hm, well, yea, I might have mixed up something in my research. Could it be that their relationship took just way more time and was rather passively turning into some kind of mother/daughter relationship, rather than a almost forced one we see in the series (or at least it feels forced to me)
@@МаусГастон what? I like her, take your negative attitude elsewhere. and she does not "clearly dislike Freya" What delusional world do you live in? get some help.
Bruh no fricking way this series could have been better than the greatest series of all time GOT. ....don't ever disrespect GOT like that Witcher is just a messed up show with miscasts
@@learninglogy22 when did I say better? I said Challenge . Now that you mentioned It may have been better too. Who knows. But writers were messed up from the very beginning
@@GamerKhiladi even if the writers weren't messed up this series was nowhere to be compared with GOT....or a competition with it It would be an average good fictional netflix series though
Freya is much more emotive than I think I expected her to be, and does sarcasm surprisingly well. I really don't know why this surprised me as I have no reason to think otherwise. But hey, it's endearing so who cares, I guess.
She's always had striking cheekbones, meaning little "baby fat" and with the makeup, and you know, actually being a couple years older now, she looks older.
I think all of them are good actors and they really seem sympathetic. But Netflix annihilated that show utterly! They started the show on the bases of a best selling computer game (in the RPG genre). Fully aware of their target audience and who was all in for the show. Henry Caville was a massive win for the show so they lured all the PlayStation and PC-boys in with a stunning trailer and then… butchered ‚em! Wat Netflix did was a massacre Diablo style to be honest.
Yes, it's so sad because the Witcher universe had a great potential for a fun and entertaining fantasy show. I gave it my best and was ok with season 1. But season 2 was a struggle and gave up on season 3..
And I gave it a shot, I like Henry, Freya, Anya and most of the other actors. The actors are not the problem with this show. Mainly I blame Netflix...@@WNShadow814
@@jaycorbin but for every one book fan of Witcher there is probably 100 more game fans. Witcher 3 sold over 50 million units as of March 2023, the other two games made around another 30 million units sold.
She really truly looks like a freya. I don't think I've ever seen someone embody the essence and "vibe" of a name in their looks as well.. does that make sense? I'm trynna say she looks like a pixie fairy from Celtic isles named freya
In my Honest opinion, witcher movie isnt bad. It is entertaining. It is good fantasy movie But not a good "witcher" movie. No dark atmosphere, no moral dillema, no philosophical paradox. These things are what made the book and the game great. Geralt is contantly battling with himself. The show runner especially the writer doesnt know anything about witcher world (she even said she only read the book when she got the job).
I can't believe what the casting agent and show runner did to my favorite characters. I was never aware of how much contempt there is for Polish descended ppl...
@@holliswilliams8426 Then tell me...why couldn't the characters be true to the written descriptions by the author of the books? Why do the Lefty show runners and casting agents have to crap all over originality in their insane refusal to allow anything to be 'too hu-white'...but 'too black' is NEVER an issue...if there was such a thing as a black author who wrote a spectacular series such as The Witcher, do you think for an instant, that they would have to ensure that Hu-white ppl were injected into the cast had there been none in the original story? Quick answer: - hell to the no...
We all know its not Polish hatred its the fact you cant base a show around a white culture or time period these days and have the whole cast be white for fear of diversity backlash of some kind. Its why many period piece dramas that are meant to represent for example 1800s Britain have a significant portion of the cast as black. Or famous historic characters we know were white are recast as another race. It makes for unauthentic and unbelievable viewing and is just ridiculous. Waiting on that WW2 film in which Hitler is a black guy.
They go on strike for the same writers that destroyed the show they are in? Have you looked at the writer's demands? It is like the demands of a toddler.
"The witcher failed because fans are toxic" Meanwhile One Piece is the first successful live action just because the author forced Netflix by contract to let him control the story and cast. Well wasn't that difficult was it?
Liam??? nah nah nah , if this happens then this series is nonsense , idk why directors are always with this idea of changing characters, change another character leave Henry alone pls , he is the soul of this show
As far as actors go, I liked everyone, even if they initially didn't feel fitting for me, they did win me over. There is a ton of charisma in each of them, not the least in Yennefer. That the writers maybe messed up is something the actors have no control over. Personally I expected worse from season 3, given the amount of vitriol even before it was aired. It might not have been the best, but it was not as bad as I was lead to believe. That is my opinion though. I am very aware that this is not shared by many.
