Most excellent Bino , the first technique I think intuitively i figured it out and thought that it was something that was very normal, as for the second technique that is most definitely awesome ! And a great share .. as for installing the friction saver most people don’t know that the original instructions have how to install an uninstall a ring to ring friction saver , was with the original instructions. Sold had many years ago. I don’t remember what year , I read these instructions that came with the throw line package..
I have a friction saver stuck in a tree in the mountains as we speak 😅 I’m planning to go get it in a few days I’ve never climbed a tree before and I didn’t realize I was missing equipment in order to climb I could’ve used the old school method of climbing with a Blake’s hitch but it was getting dark. I will definitely be using this fishing trick in the future though 👍
We should meet up and do a collaborate video. We could talk about the differences in our content ideas. Future of tree work. New tech versus old tech. I’m so old school and you are all about the tech. I still prefer a taught line hitch over a Blakes hitch. Why? Because I’m so fluid with my knot. I work with the slippage and light touch. I have a Rope Runner but hardly ever use it. Thoughts? You could even call me “grandpa”😊
