She has such a beautiful speaking voice and I actually do remember vividly watching this interview on the morning it came on because I was living in Manhattan at that time.I can still remember how exciting it was for me that morning .

Looking back and comparing Frida then and now, you see a much more reserved version. I'm not sure if it's just that she was trying not to say too much about ABBA's plans either way, or just not being used to having to be the only one to answer questions, or having to deal with English interviewers, but she comes off very hesitant and unsure and guarded. Both her and Agnetha seemed to almost have a script prepared in their heads, that they were following in those days. When I saw her interview for Djupa Andetag, and then after, whether it was about ABBA or other projects, she's so much more relaxed, confident and engaged with the interviewer. She really did grow alot in the years following ABBA.
you have to remember English was Frida's 2nd language, most of the interviews were done by the guys or answered by the guys as they had better english and understanding of english and were more comforable speaking it..agnetha and frida you could see there minds working out what to say in english, so the woman were quite happy not having to do all the talking in a different language..during this time frida would have been reserved and on edge now going thru a divorced and now being thrusted out as a solo artist during this time and dealing with english interviewers on her own,but as a group with10 years of english interviewers... i think she got more relaxed and settled once the dust settled after abba.what a life she has had so far

I really like that they identified her as "singer" and not "ABBA" as so many continue to do. This is a solo album with Frida as solo singer. I am looking forward to the two new songs that will be released later this year...December 2018
"We will go into the studio next year to record a another album." Small slip of the tongue in that sentence. She meant "in 38 years" instead of "next year".
I know! I never saw this before and here you can clearly see Frida thought there would be another album in the next year. So glad one finally came in 2021/2!! Yes I think Benny was the one with the power to decide.
No it wasn't Under Attack was recorded in 1982 for ABBA's 9th album along with The Day Before You Came, Cassandra, You Owe Me One, Just Like That & I Am The City the album was shelved with the intention of finishing it in 1983 so Under Attack & The Day Before You Came were instead released on the 1982 compilation album The Singles - The First Ten Years. The 1982 songs have been included on all the recent re-releases of The Visitors but Under Attack was not recorded for The Visitors.
I have always thought that Frida was the one who most wanted a 9th studio album. Followed by Bjorn, then Agnetha with Benny last. I think he was the one who most wanted to move on at the time. Not Agnetha. 'Heaven Help My Heart' demo from 1983 suggests that she still felt that the group was still functioning.
Yes and I met the guitar player on that album here in the states. He’s from WI and instead of asking him About himself I asked him how Frida was during recording and he said very very shy and fragile as well!! Aww!
To be fair, she asked about the album and Frida was very guarded and didn’t want to even say what style it was. She just looks uncomfortable with any questions at all.
2:54. Too bad that “new album” didn’t come to fruition. It was destined to be called “Opus”, but it never happened. A couple of songs were recorded for it…”I Am The City”, and “Just Like That.”
