headoverfood.bl... I will always love you the most Frida :)This is the Frida interview , taken from the DVD "ABBA Super Troupers" .FRIDA FOREVER !!!!!!ENJOY!!PLEASE COMMENT AND RATE !!!
When you see the interviews of Frida, and also Agnatha, you understand that they are both wonderful women and good people. Their performances when they sing in unison are magical. Their artistry will be enduring.
I agree that Dancing Queen is a masterpiece. It will live forever. Frida is a beautiful woman, at any age, and so talented. Great to see her at any age.
Yes I think so. My granddaughter was only one and half years old, when she loves it very much and she dances at home , in daycare, or on the street , whe she hears somewhere..
Cant get enough of Frida amazingly simplistic, amazingly beautiful, she gets prettier as she gets older and her voice is just mesmerising.love everything about her especially that accent.quite taken with it
Frida was so honest with her accounts of her ABBA time ,absolutely must be lovely to interview,so beautiful in this video, and how her voice is missed from present day music ,a legend,a treasure,a beautiful lady with a great heart and a personality to match.
Like everyone else on here, I have watched Frida in so many videos, and I love her in all of them. She is very beautiful. It is not just that she's beautiful on the outside, she's also beautiful on the inside as a kind of person I think I would love to know.
My favourite ABBA song with Frida singing lead was and will ever be "One Man, One Woman" - a tune which didn't climb the charts either. It's so moving - just beyond words.
What amazes me is that ABBA was not more popular in America. Yes they had moderate success in America but clearly they were far more popular in Europe, Japan and Australia. Dancing Queen is the only ABBA song that reached Number One on the Billboard Hot 100. They deserved much better.
@Lisa Taylor I know they were well-known and as I said, they achieved a respectable level of success in America but compared to other countries, America was the band's least-successful market.
Frida had the energy, while Agnetha captured the audience with her smile-both were exceptional singers and dancers, and particularly the ‘Cat dresses’ really were hits...
Can you believe that 20yrs before this interview the UK press were stating Frida was "alarmingly ageing". Never believe the idiotic media, this classy lady has always been gorgeous to me, great voice and a cheeky dry sense of humour. Its now 14yrs later and she's still amazing.
@@lyndacollins9678 You sound a little jealous she still looks georgeous at 75 beautiful lady with a great personality Frida was also so compassionate with her dealings with others
My, she's still so hot! As a preteen, back in 1974, I had a crush on Anni Frid. As a teen I loved her when she made the Money Money video. By my late teens, I was heartbroken when I heard the news that the band was separating. Decades later, I found this interview with Anni Frid speaking online, like any other person, and was so surprised to see her looking even more beautiful, sexy, elegant, very sophisticated, and with such a great Swedish accent that I couldn't believe my eyes! :) It took me back in time right away! By the way, ABBA was very popular in Nicaragua, especially Chiquitita and Fernando, but I loved all of their songs because their music was catchy and sounded totally different. But also because in the 70's before the Internet, there were barely any news about Sweden in America so that when ABBA became famous it was considered an exotic band! Thanks for sharing this video and bringing back good old memories! Congratulations to Anni Frid and ABBA for bringing happiness and smiles to millions of people!
If ABBA decided to do a reunion concert, three quarters of the world population would definitely tune in. An event like that would shatter numerous Guinness book records.
@@fan2.04 That's why she was sent to Sweden, to live with her grandmother iirc. Norway after the war was pretty harsh towards girls that were involved with Germans.
YES I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVED THE VERY MAGIC OF ABBA CREATED BY THESE TWO WOMEN TOGETHER WHICH THEIR ANGELIC VOICES, ABBA CAN NEVER EXIST WITHOUT THE OTHER, THE UNISON'S OF THEIR BEAUTIFUL VOICES IS WHAT RESONATED IN OUR HEARTS AND MEMORIES, UNFORGETTABLE..IT WILL LIVE ON FROM ONE GENERATION TO ANOTHER...
byrdman byrdman. She was orphaned as a toddler and had a pretty hard upbringing. Only 5/6 years before this interview, her daughter died in a car accident while her husband succumbed to cancer the following year.
@@chelseacharger 😢💔 after she was so destroyed , she going into dip depressed. She lost 2 most important persons in her life , her daughter and her husband. Thanks now she came back to make a new album with ABBA . GOD BLESSED Frida. 💖
@@chelseacharger not only was she orphaned but had to live with the stigma of being a lebensborn child. Nazi Germany invaded Norway and Hitler thought it was a perfect place for his lebensborn program. He wanted a master race of called aratians. Tall. Blue eyed blonde people. Norwegian women like Frida's mother were perfect. Nazi soldiers were told to make arayian babies with racially approved women and mostly they would be taken to Germany. Frida was a result of this program. Her grandmother took her to Sweden so she wouldn't be taken a d thank God she did cause after Germany fell, the Norwegians turned on these children and treated them terribly. Frida still doesn't want to talk about it.
So good to hear Anni - Frid talking about her "way " from the beginning - Artist`s of today are lucky BUT a singer like Anni-Frid and Agnetha have a long hard working learnig the biz AND you can hear it in Qualithy - Frida`s varm pop mezzo . . . . . . . . and Agnethas popsoprano and their harmon. - well - thank`s for your hard work Frida
Not knowing nothing about Frida except that she’s a member of the famous ABBA group that I love so much then after 40 years they return so I become more interested and have watched every documentary about them and came across Fridas background and sad life and yet on stage my gosh she’s dynamic and always smile so gracious . I wonder now that she’s half German is she really blonde? Or brunette? I like her brunette . So sweet smile frida and agnetha aged so gracefully
has suffered some tragedies but is still a wonderful woman. I wished she’s been given more lead vocals though. I know Agnetha was the “star”, but her voice live is incredible & so strong !!
If there was any doubt, none remains... Anni Frid has more than paid her dues and earned her place in the music history annals. The sacrifices she made, and hard work she put in make her even more special and appreciated and worthy of all the love and affection all her fans, young and old, still retain in our hearts. Tack for den gladje du ger, Anni Frid... Lange Lange Leve karleken❤
not sure why but I always liked her voice more than agnetha. But I also really adore christine mcvie despite her not singing lead on as many songs as stevie. As a side note her accent is really interesing. clearly swedish but theres hints of british as well.
When both woman sing together we get that magic 3rd ABBA voice i love both but the voice i love the most is frida's x and still at 76 her voice is stronger than ever so proud.
I've been saying the same thing for many years, now. The way she handled being next to Agnetha the super blonde bombshell who everyone gravitated towards and handling it exceptionally well, is to be admired. Not to mention, karma is somewhat of a b...ch since Frida seems to be aging a bit better than Agnetha. Good for her.
Agneta was overrated physically, she had nothing special. She was slim and blonde, that's all. Frida was way prettier, with fine and harmonious features. And she has always had a special charm. Frida was fascinating in a certain sense.
abba are or were so underrated because they simply could sing, and they made hard work look almost too easy, but their singing was highest state of the art, not to speak of their composing --- as benny said: it took long time and dedication to filtrate the stuff in order to distill out the really good stuff from the rubbish
Frieda (ABBA) You don't know her personally. but what you can perceive is a great woman with a great unique and unforgettable voice. And especially in combination with agnetha. But my feeling is that agnetha was the reserved and Frieda sometimes had the "hair on her teeth". still today i can't compare abba to any other band. just uniquely great.
