It’s time for Flat Stanley to have another fun adventure. How about creating a magical sparkly sandbox for Flat Stanley with the confetti.

Hi Patty, as a early childhood educator I did this project for my class. In a dry water bottle I would put beads, but you would use the confetti, put the confetti in the bottle and put items like plastic animals or things like buttons of shapes, or things like your wooden items . glue on the top. and the children look through the side of the bottle and look for all the items. I would make up a card with extra items glued onto a card board so the children would look for each item. They seemed to have lot of fun with them. Also I would think they can be glued onto black construction paper. Make green stems and leaves and the pink and purple would be the flowers. Great dollar store finds. I can't wait till I am able to walk around ours soon.

I use sparkly sequins and rhinestones on flowers when I make my cards. You can always use them for eyes when you have a figure. If you like to make dangles you can fill a tiny jar you get from the craft section at Dollar Tree and attach it to your dangle along with a string of the sparkly tubes interspersed with beads. You can also put those pretty tubes on a wire or thread and attach it to the page of your journal like a banner for decoration. I have also used pretty beads, in your case tubes, on a string, and wrapped it around a candle for decoration. You can do this around a vase or any pretty jar. Have fun coming up with ideas for your pretty sequins and tubes you bought! I just thought of another fun idea with those tubes. String them on wire and create a stained glass window on the front of your journal with them. Attach them by bending the wire around a separate page you want to adhere it to. You can then either glue or staple the page down onto your journal cover. Oh my gosh, there are so many things you can do with them! If you are a sewer, you can thread them with a needle and thread, attaching it to a multitude of items, even the front cover of your journal or even down the inside of a page in your journal. That would be pretty! You are such a delight to watch, Possum Patty! Loved your nature walk outside.

I have almost purchased the tube confetti several times. Each time I've looked at them I thought they were bead like. Not just rolled up pieces. Their sparkle is awesome! I was thinking maybe you could sketch a nature picture and glue down the confetti to fill the sketch in. I think that would be so pretty. Thank you for sharing all your fun finds.

Hi Possum Patty I've never used the confetti but I have an idea that maybe you would like. I know you can draw so draw a picture of the fairies with a dress on and use spray adhesive on the dress and pour the confetti over it. The excess will just fall off. That would be a nice page in the journal. I haven't seen those clear plastic containers but I never paid attention but I will now. I could really use some. My cat was also enjoying the birds in the beginning of the video. I haven’t seen any of those colored wood pieces at my dollar trees. I think some ideas for the confetti would be to use it as colorful hair when you take pictures or draw your fairies. Put some glue down on its hair and pour the confetti on it. Also covering the not colored wood pieces with glue and sticking them into the confetti to color them! Cool contest and you’ll get loads of great ideas!!

i would glue them to a base then put the fairies or gnomes on top to mimic a grass and flower patch for them to sit on.

Layer the colours of confetti in a clear small vase. Stick in some stemmed flowers and have them on your craft table. A small bug added to the flowers ( decorated with confetti of course ) and enjoy the new sparkly arrangement. Greetings from Sandi, in BC Canada.

Hi Possum Patty! I so enjoiy your videos. You could use a window envelope, put confetti in the window and turn it into a pocket for a journal or stick it to some tape and make a sparkly washi-tape when you journal.

I love your haul and ideas. Now I have to go to dollar tree 😊. A fun way to spend some time on a Friday. By using a clear glue you could make a mosaic picture for journal ephemera tag.

I don't have any (of my own) ideas, but I made the same mistake, including buying the same color pack you did (there was another in golds and browns at my DT but I didn't get that one). Got it home and realized the "confetti" part was really confetti and not tube beads like I thought. I've been trying to come up with ideas to use them so I appreciate this contest. :) The one idea I had came from Natasha on Treasure Books. She did a video on ways to repurpose all that plastic packaging everything comes in, and one of the things she made was a "sensory bookmark" with ribbon and some sequins sewn inside the plastic in a bookmark shape that you can shake or just crinkle the plastic and look at the sequins. I think the tube confetti would be great with that, but I haven't tried it myself yet. I'm not entering the contest though, because that isn't my idea.

Greetings from Canada! I enjoy your videos and love when your beautiful kitty makes an appearance. I would maybe glue them on a charm blank or wooden piece with either Glossy accents or resin to fill it in and seal it. Then I would use them for journal charm dangles.

I was so excited to see a wild sassafras plant. The root is used to make a soda pop right? You are strong to be pushing that wheel barrel all the way down the road. Hmmm ways to use the tube confetti - take a hot glue gun and cover a flat cut out tree & sprinkle the confetti on the hot glue to set. That’s a hard challenge. Try putting them on a tag in between wax paper and press with an iron and see what happens. If it melts to the tag or journal card I think it would be beautiful. Can not wait to see the markers.

I would sprinkle a little bit down on each of the fairies and scatter a bit of it on their tea table. 😁

❤ I've never heard of tube confetti before but love the idea of it. I had a couple of thoughts right away. I watch all of your videos and shorts I like when you walk around the garden and all the neat way you use all the unconventional items to journal with. I've been saving some box fronts and other items to use. They are so much fun have fun with the tube beads. I'll have to go and see if I can find some. Thank you have a good day

Howdy Possum Patty👋 An idea for the tube confetti is the make Shaker Bracelets/Necklaces using air hose for aquariums for the fairies.🧚‍♀️🧚 🧚‍♂️ You can also sew it in between a couple of pieces of tool fabric to put in your junk journals or make a little pennant banner for the fairies.🇺🇸

I think I would use the fairy confetti by using a hat pin to make rows and allow glue down. You could also use thread and needle to create a boarder.

I think they might look cute to make little frames. Cut the frames and then glue; or decorate die cuts with them flowers, mermaids, animals etc.😊

The confetti I would put in the little glass charm bottles that have the cork on top. Oh and make sure you glue the cork top on. They would make beautiful charms to add onto tassels for your journals. I usually put very small beads in them. But I think the confetti would be beautiful and sparkly. 😁❤️😘🤗💕

The tube confetti is really sparkly and such pretty colors. I would use it like glitter. I would use double sided tape and make a dimensional washi tape. It would also look gorgeous glued on die cuts, especially flowers. Are they plastic? I wonder if you could arrange them like flowers in between parchment paper and melt them with an iron. I hope our DT gets them in, I want to have a play. I'm excited to see what ideas other folk come come up with. Happy journaling!

Hi Possum Patty. I have used tube confetti with mod podge to decorate frames to add a little sparkle - it doesn't shed as much as glitter. I have also used it to decorate plastic Christmas tree ornaments. The confetti sparkles in the light of the Christmas tree lights. You just have to make sure that the confetti sticks to the mod podge. When I was teaching, I used tube confetti with my students to decorate banners and posters instead of glitter. The students had loads of fun, and I didn't have to worry about the students getting glitter everywhere (yes. It was a little messy but less than the mess that glitter caused. It was easier to clean up and safe too) You might be able to make a necklace for the fairies with a little luck. Have fun creating with the tube confetti. Love your videos - I watch your videos and shorts whenever you post one but I don't always comment but always LIke the video or short. Have fun gardening and crafting😊❤❤!!

My very first thoughts on the confetti was to use them in shaker cards. Aside from that I would try applying gesso on my paper. Since you are a sewing fan, thread the confetti with white thread to create lines. Sew them on the page with the pattern of background paper. I think this would add interesting texture and be a fun element on some of your journal pages!!

I had some beads about the size of the confetti. I made some "papers" using parchment, thinned glue and tissue paper with the beads sprinkled on the glue on the parchment then covered with the tissue and sealed up with the glue. When we were kids we did these to make cards, anyway after they are dry, i use them for cutting out fairy wings, skirts or anything else I want glitzy without the tedium of sequins. I will try to snap a picture.

I would make beautiful sparkling flowers by putting glue in the petals and poring the confetti on the glue and allowing it to dry and then moving on to the next one so that the colors don’t get mixed up. In my mind they would be 60’s hippie flower power flowers. I don’t know if those were the only colors but the more the merrier.

Also that maximalist Mess of tube confetti is so bright and sparkly. Patty, i thought of gluing a piece of paper and then sticking them to the paper to form a picture. almost like your diamond painting. You can also use them to decorate a card. Happy journaling....... Good luck everyone! 💖

Hey Patty, I thought of mod podge - ing the tube confetti, but I see someone down below has already mentioned it. I watched this last night from the comfort of my bed, so could not post a comment. I did buy sequins in like packaging at DT, but I might have thought the confetti was actually beads. My eyes are sometimes overwhelmed at DT so I might not read everything. Happy Gardening! I also thought of Mod Podge on the wooden die cuts, but also spray painting or putting a clear varnish / coating on them. With the paint, you would have to repaint the colored ones, but you like to fool around (with your crafts!)

I think I would use them to create a design on your cover. I would create a design with cardstock or something raised. Then glue the tube confetti inside it. Otherwise put them into those small jars Dollar Tree sells and hang it on your journal with a strand of beads.

All I can think of is glueing it down on journaling cards or anything else. Not sure how that would work. Could press some packing tape down and what sticks to it, you could then put on a page?? I am not good at ideas!! I would have confetti everywhere. Back when I did that journal cover diamond painting, I still find some of those here and there. They managed to get out of their packages. I spotted one yesterday on the bathroom rug! Whatever you come up with will be great! Blessings and bubbles, and sprinkle some pixie dust on that confetti and maybe it will settle down! -LOL

good haul! i was thinking maybe glueing them onto the page as a shiny snake, or worm(gardening?) honestly a shaker card sounds the most fun, maybe a soft clear shaker/squeezer to poke and play with instead of hard plastic, do you know what i mean? kinda like those sensory toys😊🧸💘 surely you have lots of soft plastic laying around! i think it could be fun with a backing for shape too, like a sensory bookmark or the likes.
