heh In this show today folks, we focus on MK 1's DLC story mode. Khaos Reigns, which introduces us to some old names but new faces, new styles and above all more twists!
Shortly after the fall of Titan Shang Tsung, multiple instances had occur, such as the resurface of a rebellion under General Shao in Outworld, the reforming of the White Lotus Society and above all the birth and Marriage of the new Grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu, Kuai Liang and Harumi Shirai. But while many enjoy a festival childhood sweetheart tying the knot, some don't see this as a good thing.
In comes the Lin Kuei, still lead by Kuai's older brother, Bi Han aka Sub Zero. Now with two allies at his beck and call, Sub Zero leads an assault on the WuShi Academy, bringing a bloody war that involves Raiden, Johnny Cage, Kenshi Takahashi, and above all the Shirai Ryu clan themselves. Spearheading the assault is none other than Lin Kuei warriors Cyrax of the Zaki clan of the Lin Kuei and Sektor, Master Armorer of the Lin Kuei. After subduing Kuai Liang, Cyrax notices the change of behavior in both Bi Han and Sektor, prompting her to find out she was lied to by her grandmaster and mentor. Enraged, Cyrax defects and defeats her former mentors, surrendering herself to Scorpion's rage. It only stops when Harumi herself begs Kuai to spare Cyrax for judgement by Emperess Mileena and Lord Liu Kang. But while the fate of the Lin Kuei is being questioned, a vortex of violet Energy appears, bringing forth through this portal followers of a highly dangerous and impossibly hard to predict timeline, Chaosrealm. But none were expecting the man behind the intrusion nor his intentions.
Havik, the Cleric of Chaos and now apparent Titan/Keeper of Time of his timeline, decides to come for a visit. As he explains his wish to reignite the same chaotic fight that left Titan Shang Tsung's realm a mess, he also wishes to expand it to other timelines with the aid of Geras, the only individual who stand as a fulcrum point for all Timelines. Knowing their fates were sealed if Mileena and Liu Kang failed to stop them, Bi Han and Sektor ally to help fight back the mad Cleric's attempt. Despite the technology and union of defense of both Earthrealm and Outworld, Havik and his followers capture Geras and withdraw with the promise of Anarchy to follow their return. Before they close their portal, Sub Zero charges after the mad Titan, only for himself to be captured and left to a Dark Fate.
Desperate, Liu Kang recruits Cyrax and Sektor to assist Scorpion's attempt to rescue Geras (with Sektor herself demanding a chance to save Bi Han, both her Grandmaster and Beloved.). Along the way, they run into unexpected twists, including an Emperor Rain who lost his kingdom to Havik and Lt Col. John Cage who was sent after a freak accident. Working together with them and the Resistance of Titan Havik's timeline, the trio of warriors set off to rescue Emperess Tanya.
