For reference, Street Fighter III and Tekken 3 released to arcades. There were far better games even then. Heck, even the DBZ fighting games before it were better.

That intro made me think I had a stroke. PS just finished making BLTs with ciabatta bread, Romain lettuce, and extra thick bacon, and medium tomatoes (should've roasted the tomatoes).
This brings back a lot of fond memories. Sure, the game was stiff as hell, but when you understand the mechanics, you can pull off a lot of flashy battles. With my younger brother, we were sidestepping all over the place, locking ourselves in beam struggles and going meteor on each other. :-)
Also the official English version of this game only had a few thousand copies made so they are considered rare. You can find the better condition games going for $150 - $300 on eBay.
OK how many people (1996-1999) remember the setup to playing the japanese version of this cause dude...having the perfect spring to go into the inside of the ps1 to trick it into thinking the lid was closed+having the code breaker (yellow) to plug into the back of the system then starting up a regular ps1 game stoping the disc taking it out putting the dragon ball gt disc into the system to start it up to play this...was by far the best thing ever to witness back in the DBZ glory days!!!
watching this LP right before the Hyper Fighting Z one. OMFG look at this FFVII polygon DBZ fighter. And the way SS4 Goku fires those energy bombs in such an offhand, blaise way....im dying

I remember desperately looking for this game around 10 years ago. That was around when I discovered youtube. I then never needed to buy this game... I can't believe those godly vocals didn't get more play in this video
My favorite thing about Final Bout is the smallest thing, ironically, but it's just how large "Vegetto's" Power Up Aura is compared to everyone else's. Barring Baby, it's twice the size everyone. Which is a good attention to detail, because his Aura in the Anime was also absurdly large.
This is the only true channel dedicated to true video game love , they play everything and nothing , and enjoy it for what it is equally and witnout prejudice !
I think the music, beam struggles, and Meteor clashes were the only thing that salvaged this game for me as a kid. Then years later when I bought the re-release in 2002 I realized that the controls were so stff and bad almost every move could be a full-health bar eating infinite.
