I like to imagine this as the mod collapsing, being destroyed, thrown into the bin, and Bf is just trying to leave it so he doesn’t get trashed. Xeno ,however, can’t leave, and he knows that. So if he is going down, he is going to drag bf down with him.
It would have been cool that once you finished all the songs and tried exiting the game then it would play a cutscene of bf leaving the game but xeno stopping him then it brings you to this song.

As another comment on another video pointed out, the current events that occured to the Exe mod make this an even better song scenario, it's like Xenophanes getting one last crack at BF before his mod collapses in on itself.
it always makes me so happy to see fan made mods from a canceled mod! it's still a shame that the official 3.0 update was cancelled! but these kind of great fan made mods make let me think about it a whole lot differently! Its just amazing to see how modders are still making the most of the canceled sonic exe 3.0 mod! freaking love it
Honestly this feels like how it'll be,new smaller mods cropping up to basically fill the unfinished gaps left by the cancelation of the mod,two or three fan versions of soulless,and a few fan versions of songs that were planned but unreleased. I find it exciting honestly, because with this going on, new exe mods will pop up, spurred on by the buzz surrounding the various unofficial fan stuff like this, and I love it
This song is so freakin' cool, and I'm SO glad that people have been working on finishing the unfinished business! There's so many mechanics, there's cutscenes, there's a wicked death animation... this song has it all!

For a sonic exe fanmade mod this looks amazing, I really like that detail of bf’s icon is moving away from xenophane’s icon in that running health bar and also like how bf running just like sonic.
While the loss of the Sonic.exe 3.0 mod still stings, at least the fans are still keeping the project alive. With that being said, outstanding job from the creators as this really does look official.
Final Escape lore: Boyfriend actually finds the final exit to the exe universe when xeno tries to stop him before he escapes, and the ring for xeno runs out and he actually fails to stop boyfriend from escaping…
This seriously shows Xenophanes' true anger towards BF, desperately trying to kill him, but keeps failing, which has never happened before. Amazing work to the devs who made this fan mod!
I really love on how the mod is cancelled, meanwhile there is tons of more people not giving up and continue making mods out of this! I'm impressed! (Love how BF runs just like Sonic)
God was amazing, the part where Xenophane screams with an echo at the end after losing and falling into the void, it's almost how I imagined it would all end. It would be amazing if it had a final scene with GF grabbing BF and with a portal they leave that place.
Am I the only one who thinks that this is very strange for a final boss battle for the main week? Not only does Xenophanes look less unnerving than in Triple Trouble, but this is no longer a long gauntlet level like Triple Trouble. Don't get me wrong, this definitely could have worked, but it looks and feels a lot easier than the preceding song. Don't get me wrong, the fanmade extension of the song and interpretation of the battle is excellent, and most of the songs from Sound Test and the other songs meant for Vs. Sonic.exe aren't nearly as difficult or long as Triple Trouble, but it's not too often for the final phase of a long battle to be shorter than a prior phase. No shade, but just a thought.
I think it's meant to symbolize Xeno's desperation. He's exhausted every trick he has. The souls of his victims have rebelled against him because of this blue-haired brat. He's just throwing his full weight at Boyfriend, not thinking, not plotting. He just wants him DEAD.
Triple trouble didn't have insta kills every 2 seconds. I played this song and I lose after the second cycle every time. those goals make it harder than indie cross sans, plus the dodge mechanic is actually much harder because you do actually have to time it, whereas with sans it was just hitting space every time you see the signal and it didn't matter how precise you were.
this mod was done very well there's just a lot of detail and loading into the song was a banger and the dyeing screen was amazing! great mod props to Aleon

According to one of the ex-programmers (Nebula), after Triple Trouble, the game was supposed to crash. If you opened it back up, you would be met with Final Escape.
Finally someone made it into a mod! Holy shoot it's almost exactly as how I imagined this would happen! Leave it to the fans to take care of the unfinished work, this actually looks like something straight out of the mod! The cancellation wasn't so bad after all cause tbh I think that when given enough resources the modders could really restore the mod's charm. It's amazing how dedicated this community really is! The icons being spaced out looks super neat too, as the bar is being pushed it really does show how BF is making his final escape, and I really love the addition of Xeno pulling him back. Xeno's world may crumble but he's totally gonna try taking BF down with him lol.
I like how BF starts to run like Sonic, like he found out how to go fast during his time singing and surviving against him and other EXEs. x/ | Weapon Get: BF got Sonic Dash!
If they did this to Final Escape, imagine what they can do to the Lord X unused song *Fate.* God just imagining about it gives me goosebumps and shivers down my spine
I love how if you lose all rings you get killed instantly because in the original sonic games if you have no rings left you WILL get one shot by an enemy if you're unfortunate enough to smash into one.
Oh man, it looks like real Sonic.exe 3.0 Update! I wish this was in the Update, it would be cool! Just imagine if Fan-Made versions of Mod will revive it!
Honestly I kinda glad this song got scrapped since I’ve been having the head cannon (heh) that sonic exe or xenophanes is the one keeping him alive to toy with him and not because bf is actually getting away on his own
Apart from triple trouble encore this was the song I was most upset to lose from the cancellation of the mod, at least with triple trouble encore there’s a chance of it being finished
You know that sonic.exe have that arm in your too slow, you cant run, and triple trouble right? (I mean he doenst show his third arm on triple trouble but he still have the third arm)
Fun fact: the reason why there is a floating bf you see when you jump is because when you lose you drop and that model is the model that drops to the ground
