Good to see the town and hotels busy again, also that’s great news that the upcoming Christmas by the sea festival beginning of November the 17th this year I really love the lights in Blackpool so thanks Stephen for another fab video on Blackpool Prom I enjoyed it.

We were there this weekend and had a great time as always. Definitely a "beer monster" on the Friday night but we walked along the promenade and took in the atmosphere with the lights and the Circus projection against the tower building. Always manage to miss seeing you when we are down though!

Wowser - Awsome videeo mate - the lights on the big wheel on central pier look fantastic this year but the Tower will always be No.1.

Love your videos, it brings back so many great memories of our family trips from Newcastle to Blackpool back in the 90s and your totally right, there was something special about the old Illuminations they used to have. I always look forward to seeing your new videos, best wishes ☺👍

For me the lights are nowhere near as good as they were in years gone by they are quite bland on the promenade all the fun seems to have gone out of them, the funny faces and animals etc., made for a great show back in the day.....That train tram is great though...I can't wait to see the Christmas experience again.

It looks marvellous, so much colour and some of my favourite trams going past, with proper lights ABC Television Train, saw it first in 1975. Looks brilliant and you have great weather too, oh you lucky people?. Thanks for this great report on Glasgow weekend.

Do they not take out the Fisherman's Friends tram? I haven't seen it out since the King's Coronation. Only saw it a couple of times during the Illuminations last year. Yes the Wild West train tram is the nicest but the Warship tram is also lovely. Love the Illuminations, love seeing the Tower doing its light shows. Great to see both sides of Central Pier's big wheel being light up this year, only the south side was light up last year. The 'A' frame of a ride on South Pier is light up lovely this year. The new spitfires on Gynn Square are lovely, a great new addition, also the Icecream van tableaux at Lowther Avenue. Sad to see that kids can no longer sit with the teddies at the teddy bear picknic, maybe due to vandalism last year. Well worth getting of the tram at Harrow Place to see the glitterball all light up. Great to see the odyssey coming back, they are fantastic. Christmas by the sea was lovely last year, hopefully more stalls will come this year. Lightpool was also lovely last year and the fireworks. Blackpool is a great place to be in the winter. And when it's all gone in January and February we will still have the starling end of the pier shows, good wave watching and hopefully some snow capped mountains to see. Xxx

Well done, you really captured the atmosphere. I wonder if the illuminations still go far to the north, maybe Bispham. Are ALL the illuminations now light emitting diodes or has some of the older technology (tungsten filament lamps) been retained?

Used to go SEPTEMBER WEEKEND IN THE LATE 60s for the Illuminations , was always jam packed and jumping. It was BRILLIANT. Looks absolutely dead now, even though Stephen tries his best to sell it. 😢😢

Best part of the Illuminations are the traffic lights at North Pier. This years display is pretty grim compared to the ones of the 70’s and 80’s. Give it up Blackpool Council. This is poor
