So glad you guys brought up that Jason used to run and was quite agile, as Jason being slow is the biggest misconception about the character. He only became the slow moving killer after he was resurrected from the dead in Part 6, as that's the birth of Zombie Jason who's just an unstoppable monster. Yet everyone thinks of Jason as that slow walking killer that can magically teleport infront of his victims, when in reality I think most people get Jason and Michael Myers mixed up or they just conflate the two together.

I love this film. Its so overlooked.

saw it in the movies and It was too dark, had a really hard time seeing what was going on and the last 15 min I had no idea what was going on

I really liked the physicality of this Jason. He's not just a slow lumbering dunce. You get the feeling he's powerful agile and smart in hunting and guerilla tactics

I really liked the jason in this movie, while not as iconic as hodder he did come off as a total badass.

I thought Friday The 13th (2009) was okay. Surprisingly its not one of the worst remakes or one of the worst Friday the 13th movies in the series. To me, Jason Goes To Hell will ALWAYS be the worst. I will say the remake is way better than the shitty Nightmare On Elm Street remake. But even with that said, it was still unnecessary to make this movie. If anyone is new to the franchise, I HIGHLY recommend the original Friday The 13th film! Its a shame most people won't watch old classic movies like them because they're "out dated or old movies." Which is sad. The style or how old it looks DOESN'T matter, its the presentation of the enjoyment from the film is what matters! I'll admit, most remakes CAN be good. BUT NEVER FORGET THE ORIGINAL! NO MATTER HOW OLD IT IS!

I loved the 2009 movie, Jason walking or running after you is still terrifying

The sequel would've had Jason in the snow, which would've been awesome and Derek Mears would've returned as Jason as well. It's too bad it never came to fruition. If they would've gave us more sequels following the debut remake, right now we'd be at like sequel #6 or 7 by now. lol

At least Rob zombie didn't ruin this movie franchise

This movie disappointed me no end, its the first in the franchise where i found all the characters either unlikable or boring. and the kills unimaginative. its something classic f13 movies did well, fun and interesting characters and awesome kills. this one felt safe and uninspired and kinda soulless. it just wasn't fun and not being fun is a really bad thing imo.

You've got to do the 2010 remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street. Aside from Jackie Earl Hayley's performance the movie is one giant car crash of horrible writing, terrible acting, wretched direction and horrendous production. It's gloriously bad in almost every way.

This is the only Friday i havnt seen, and i think its safe to say...im good haha it looks way too dark and the characters seem so unlikable. With that being said thanks for another kick ass review 👊.

This isn’t even of remake of the original just a new adaptation of the Jason character so why do Hollywood calls this a remake, it’s really not, just like the A Nightmare on Elm Street movie 2010 isn’t remake and the poltergeist remake isn’t even a remake.

I never had much problems with this film, other than its shitty last scene, and if i would be fully honest i like this remake more than original. It could have been better, but for what it is, it's pretty good. Great job with review as always guys!

This was directed by the dude who did the awesome remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It is rather good and Sean S. Cunningham was back as producer. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift did far better on the screenplay for this than with Freddy VS. Jason because they actually got to achieve the gritty and down to Earth tone they wanted.

I read the Trent character is actually the same Trent character from transformers. Transformers and Friday the 13th exist in the same universe. What the hell.

My theory: Crystal Lake is a fountain of youth. Jason keeps rising up from it's depths. First as a boy, and later as a zombie. The 2009 remake had none of the charm from the series. They should've kept it retro and set it in the 70's. But seriously, now that you've started this, you need to review the rest of the F13 films.

If I wrote this move so many things would have changed. Jason wouldn't have been a person but a cult of natives trying to protect their land (Camp Blood). Each night a cult member would Patrol the campgrounds as Jason. The Cult foud the Necronomicon and accidentally bring Jason back to life. That's the concept so far.

The tunnels are an old abandoned mine shaft. It’s even mentioned by Wade in the opening scene. Jason didn’t dig them- he just took them over.

The thing I always wondered about was where Jason got his clothes, most of the people he kills are a lot smaller than him and he seems to have a new outfit every movie. Maybe Jason's a drug dealer, and that's how he affords all his clothes

With the exception of the first never liked these films never understood the popularity of the series, they're all pretty shite.

I don't know what it was about the classic slasher franchises in the 2000s but Michael Bay was a producer on many of them. Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Actually Jason (might) have left someone alive in one of the other movies, in Part 3 we think Ali dies during his first confrontation with Jason in the barn but then when it gets down to the final fight in the barn later Ali is still alive
