Sweet lady, I’m taking care of my dad as I type this! It takes me away from my husband and perhaps what I’d love to be doing, but every time I come down to the coast to spend time with my dad, we make special memories that I’ll cherish forever. I came down on Friday and was supposed to leave on Sunday, but the weather had other ideas and we have had an ice storm, power outages and two stays in a motel just to survive! We tried to camp out at the house with a camp stove and candles but the temperature just got too low and we had to go to a motel. Still, these are special memories. I know that you’ll be making special memories too! I might be able to go home Thursday or Friday. Travel through the mountains in Oregon is hair raising in a storm! BTW - that cinch bag for makeup (or toys) is absolutely amazing. I made four of them and use mine for travel.

I must be the only person who loves the pockets in the Southbank BUT I do raise them to a height I feel comfortable with and use viscose scraps for the pocket bags to reduce bulk. Yours looks fab with your new coat 😍. Loved your review of 23 and 2024 plans. Sensible to ditch what doesn’t inspire you - I will never make undies either 😂😂. Must be fab to have whole day social event - I am lucky to get a weekly one but it is only a few hours - still great though. Good Luck with house move - I moved in 2023 and it is hard work but worth it. 😊 Lynne

Hello, lovely to hear you chat, sounds like we live in the same area, might see you at NEC sometime. You looked stunning in your work outfits. The dress with pockets was a bit similar to the Heather dress that I’ve been trying to finish for a couple of years. Hope this month I’ll do it. Off to Guthrie and Ghana on 27th for their sale and some retail therapy. Loved the look of studio 77 bag so will check that out. Good luck with the house move. Yes it will be hard work but you will never regret the support you are giving your parents and your Dad will be able to relax slightly with all your support. Look forward to seeing your valentine outfit, it’s great to have a plan ❤

Another great vlog Adele. Full of ideas & no shortage of enthusiasm. I'm not sure if it's just happening to me, but I've noticed that You Tube appear to be unsubscribing several of the channels I follow. Yours was included this week. Don't worry, I have re-subscribed but it may be worth a mention on your next vlog, incase other people are having the same problem and not noticed. I hate missing videos from my favourites & would hate you/them to lose subscribers by default, especially when you all work so hard on content for this wonderful sewing community. This January marks my one year of sewing! I have yet to make a garment but I love watching your vlogs. I'm fascinated by what the different names of fabrics are and what they mean for fiber content and how they were produced. I continue to not understand most of it means but the more I hear, the more I learn, yeah?

The Sofia cinch is a great pattern. I made 3 up as Christmas gifts, and they were really well received. Your billy dress looks lovely, and one of my favourite patterns for winter

I'm so glad you mentioned the Sofia Cinch bag. My niece is very into makeup at the moment, and it would be so nice to be able to make her something. I haven't seen a bag like that before, and I love that it's also unique. I'm still new at this sewing thing, so finding interesting projects that seem within my reach is always so exciting. And, yes, please to a review and show and tell of Seamwork. There are so many options for things like that available, and I'm so curious about them. When you said you'd been with them since you started sewing, that really grabbed my interest. Being part of something that I can grow with seems like such a good idea to me.

Lovely Billie dress! I need to make something like that for these cold days! Good luck with the house sale and moving in with your parents. I moved back with mine during covid and my dad had Parkinson’s and dementia so it was a big help to my mum and meant I wasn’t worrying from afar all the time so I’m sure your parents will appreciate it massively, and lovely for them to get to spend more time with the kids - there’s studies that say spending time with young children can be really beneficial for people with dementia 😊

I have some of the fabric godmother fabric, I’ve had it for ages I love it, couldn’t decide what to make, I may go Zadie too 🙈 I’m thinking of my holiday in June just have no ideas. Did you finish your Catch all caddy, I’m just making it 😱 I really don’t know how Adam gets them sewn so quickly, it’s really testing my patience, I am at the finish binding now, thank goodness. Good luck with the house sale. Have a look at Diane Spencer Ogg she has some great bag patterns and tutorials 💼

We have some similarities! I have the same fabric from that Sew Hayley Jane box (mine was from the September box) and I’m going to make a Mabel dress with mine. I’m also making the Dani dress but want to hack it so there’s a deep V at the back to match the front! 💕

My goodness, what do you mean you haven't done much !! You work full time, bringing up teenagers and a toddler not to mention the hubster. A house to run. You cleaned your sewing room, put out 2 vlogs AND you made 2 garments. I am exhausted just imagining it.🙄😁😁😁
