Your emerald dress is just stunning on you. You definitely did the right thing changing the sleeves. Don't be scared of bag making. Some time back hubbie was going away for a couple of days and wanted a bag, so I knuckled down and made the Noodle Head Making bag. For a first go, it was a bit tricky because I struggled with what sort of interfacing to use (and included the interfacing in the seam allowance which was wrong!!!) I have since made two more and it really is easy, so just dive in.
I have just bought the Know me dress pattern and I am terrified of spoiling my Lady McElroy viscose! I’m going to be following your make carefully! It’s a gorgeous make! I rarely use a big 4 pattern and the sizing surprises me. I’m quite slim but I’m coming out as a size 14. I love your fabric, Adele. I have to say you are looking great and seem full of enthusiasm for sewing and life. Are you still following Slimming World? I’m a great advocate for it as a way of life.

The only thing I can think with the weird sleeve shape is that your elbow is meant to sit in the weird dangly bit. But that would mean you’d need really long upper arms 😂 so maybe it’s a drafting error? But finished dress looks lovely! I love the colour 😊
So interesting in our sewing journies. My first ever sewing class and experience was to make a simple tote bag. So I'm very comfortable sewing bags but ask me to sew a garment and I'm TERRIFIED. I have 3 free patterns and even some muslin in addition to nice fabric and I'm still too afraid to make them! lol =/
