Oh man! That quote from Michael Buble! I remember when you read it before, but it hit harder for me this time. I spent the day with my brother and sister yesterday painting and redecorating my parent ‘s bedroom . Preparing their room for an adjustable bed to make life easier for my daddy who’s getting older. As we painted we listened to the Christmas music we grew up on and my heart just melted, thinking back on how things were when I was a kid. Remembering all the Christmas memories, which were all so magical (thanks to the planning and prep of my mama). Daddy would sit back and watch us put up the tree , mama would bustle around making everything perfect! So yes, our memories will be of how magical our parents made Christmas feel for us. So thankful to God for the beautiful memories!🥰

I so love those quotes. My son is 25, single, and will do Christmas like he knew growing up. It can be challenging and sometimes even stressful and irritating but, those really are the memories your child will have of that holiday. You and Alex are doing a fantastic job giving them all such wonderful life's They' grow up so fast.

Okay well I didn’t intend to bawl my eyes out at 7 in the morning over here but yeah here I am! I think it’s harder because I’ve lost a parent- so I know how special those memories are. One day we’ll be gone, and our children will hold onto those memories, like the hand they used to hold! They’ll make cookies in the kitchen and feel us next to them, and it will be bittersweet but will make getting through the holiday a little easier. And their sweet child looks up and asks where’d you learn this recipe. They’ll beam with a lump in their throat but a fullness in their chest and say “I used to make this recipe with my mom and dad!”

You always say, it will not last forever. You may miss these days as I do. You do such a great job taking care of your family and home. Enjoy every second of it and don’t, for a second, think that future days will be better. You are in the best part of your life……when people need you. Yes, it can be overwhelming at times, but you are handling it beautifully. Words and thoughts manifest. Only say positive, beautiful words and life will be a little easier. Cleaning, organizing, decluttering, washing, etc. are works of love. You only have to manage one day at a time. Love your videos.

I watch your videos to relax my brain because my body can never rest I have my hands full all the time and you are the women across the the room for me I have two kids but I am Indian and our cooking is really tough and I make it harder for me by cooking everything at home I love it but hate it at the same time .i cried a ton while you were saying that Christmas quote oh man I always tell me granma that I feel so proud of her to brought me up so well that I can teach the same stuff to my kids and once you become parents ( if your parents were really good ) you miss them even more you wanna thank them for everything that they have done to protect and provide .Kim you are like no other Thankyou for being there .

regarding the boiled eggs - idk how long you left them in the ice bath, but i generally leave mine in the ice bath for 15-20 minutes. the longer they are in the ice bath, the easier they are to peel. also, start peeling where you poked the hole - there is an air pocket there. hope this helps.

Dang! I didn’t know when I started to watch your video I was going to cry! The Michael Buble quote really got to me. I lost my mom last month. It really made me think about how true it is. WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT QUOTE??? It just made me cry! I have adult children and teenagers!! I hope they follow our traditions!! My father (who is very elderly now) would build a nativity set every year with cardboard and sticks that I haven't done yet.. Thank you! Our kids, who are adults and teens now.. WE had a microphone and all!! Grandchildren and my siblings would do our funny Christmas Nativity with giggles each year!! This was meant for me to hear today Kim!! I was just talking with my college aged daughter about Christmas Eve food and particularly about the "feast of the seven fishes" - but since we're German we do sandwiches on Christmas Eve and I told her we need a good roast beef or pastrami on Rye with sauerkraut. I think the bread you're thinking of is Vollkornbrot or Schwarzbrot. I just try to find whatever good Russian Rye bread I can usually find at the store because our "German Bakery" here usually just has dessert like Marzipan.

Paul Walker was the baby face Brian on Fast and the Furious franchise...he died in a celebrity racing bit, which ironically what he portrayed in the racing/car movies...Vin Diesel was so saddened and honored by him that he named his next newborn child after him..Pauline..he had the sweetest personality...and he was just a really just a baby when passed😢 I actually cried over him..the song "When I See You Again" is a tear jerker

I remember in grade school we had to bring food from our “people,” or pur ethnicity. Being irish, my parents didnt know what to do so we made sugar cookies and frosted them green.😆🤣😂 (this was before i needed to bring a baby pic to school & mom gave me a pic of my brother as a baby, “you looked just like him.” 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 5th kid here.

I love that quote I never really thought about it that way but it is so true. The little things like brand new PJ’S on Xmas eve so That when Santa comes we all in our new things and all the little things us parents do to make it special it so nice to know that through our little traditions we really will always be next to our kids and their kids etc as our transitions stick with them. It made me have a little cry as I have lost both my parents and my husband all due to illness and as much as we love the holidays it can be a really hard time for us, but to know everything that I have done to make holidays special even when struggling through grief my kids will pass on through the generations ❤❤!

sorry, I giggled a little because I used a mix the other day that was accidentally placed in one of my bags at a pick up order from Walmart. As I was making it, hubby said "when was the last time you have ever used a mix" I never use mixes, packages etc. I always do home made and make a LOT with sour dough. sour dough pancakes and waffles are so easy and absolutely DELICIOUS.

I have to say Christmas cards bring me soooo much joy. What you said about feeling connected, I completely feel that way. I live overseas and have been here several years now, which means I get less every year. It is such a strange feeling! I feel more and more disconnected from my family and friends because I get less cards. Seems crazy, but it is my reality.

On MEREDITHS school shirts spray them with a stain remover on the actual spot rub it together then wash, if the stain didn’t come out, don’t dry it yet in the dryer or it will set the stain in for good.

I just wanted to make sure that you were aware, and there was a recall all over the country for cantaloupe. Don’t eat it if you ate it already well if you’re not sick, thank God if you have it throw it away or bring it back to the store they were saying that there is salmonella involved. Kim you have to google this trick to take the shell off the egg. I was amazed when I saw it. I’m being PG, but you’re suppose to blow on one end until you hear a pop and then you can peel the shell right off lol. I swear it works! Happy Holidays❤
