Great Q&A and I love that provide some Canadian based content. I was specifically wondering whether doing lower wood cabinets would be worth the price and stand up to wear and tear and I found your answer very helpful.

Have a couple of questions ikea related and then a couple kitchen design. Ikea cabinets 1 - How worried should I be if my contractor has never installed Ikea cabinets. Originally I was doing a brand he has worked before but I like the customization and organization of Ikea. 2 - Do you have an idea on how to do an appliance garage with Ikea cabinets? Kitchen design. 1 - I am not changing my kitchen layout just cabinets and countertops, but the fridge does pop out some 8 inches, the fridge is less than a year old so no chances on buying a counter depth one, plus I am not a fan of them. Besides changing the layout is there any other way to make it less obvious? 2 - I like your suggestion about building the toe kick if I use the ikea cabinets, but how do you finish them? One of your videos just mentions installing the custom toe kick? Could I use the vinyl flooring I am installing, that way they look more like floating?
