I've always had this theory that Karkat (and Kankri) didn't have wings because "they're more human than trolls" (red blood, nubby horns, quadrant transcending relationships, 'peace is better than killing'), as I think Vriska mentioned once in a pesterlog with John - but your theory is good too, the color of his wings could ruin his secret. Um, hey, you forgot one more thing. It's been theorized (and I agree with this) that Karkat actually wasn't suppose to help with the genesis fort breeding, because Knights don't actually have anything to do with frog breeding, unless they have the right aspects, and it's just suppose to be Time and Space, but because Aradia wasn't participating (or as I see, was inverted), he had to be all responsible and help out Kanaya. Because his aspect is Blood, the mutation in the universe they create was a cancer, which is when there's an over-growth of pointless cells in the body, with Blood having the flesh and blood of the body as a symbol. This also connects to how this cancer manifested in the form of Jack Noir and the Red Miles, because the Red Miles is thought to intentionally look like veins, with Jack Noir from the pre-scratch kids' session being sort of like a Blood malfunction.

An interesting theory regarding lime-bloodedness is rationalizing why they were exterminated. Possibly because they were a threat to the violent society the English crew wanted to create? If violetbloods can psychically assault with disturbing dreams to sew fear, anger, and irrational behavior, perhaps limebloods were their counter- maybe they had a calming effect on troll society. edit: I recently realized on a reread that Karkat's text during his shoosh-papping of Gamzee is green, but Gamzee's is his normal violet color.

karkats blood mutation , is because of his aspects every blood player has a blood mutation . and the lime bloods "power" is somewhat seen through the vantas line and it's the ability to make friends like humans could , it's hinted at this when ghoat vriska talks to an off shot timeline of John wher she says that karkat would've made a great human or something like that .

great video! just wanted to add that another trait in astrology that Cancers usually have is a tendency to put up a front in order to hide their softer and weaker sides, which is why they are known for being crabby! I thought this fit Karkat really well as he does a really good job at pretending like he doesn't care. (It also ties in to his god tier if you believe the theory that Knights tend to be characters that hide their true selves and emotions by pretty much pretending to be exactly what they aren't)

Other evidence of Karkat being a limeblood is in the scene where he pacifies Gamzee. The text for his shooshing was in lime green, rather than red or his signature grey. Also this is super neat and I would love to see a series of these!!

That last part makes a lot of sense. Karkat is a Knight of Blood, and Knights are theorized to be those that exploit their aspect and use it as a weapon, while Blood is generally agreed upon by the fandom to be representative of relationships and connections. Meaning that as a Knight of Blood, Karkat is meant to weaponize his connections, and with the curse, he could pretty much doom anybody around him by just meeting them.

Karkat may be a limeblood, People original guessed that he was a lime blood because the blood colors of the trolls advance in predictable increments and on the Trollian page he sat in between Sollux and Nepeta. This has lead to the humorous situation of several liveblogs on their first read wondering why Karkat isn't typing in lime before they even know that Trolls have difrent blood colors to begin with.
