Fridgestuck: Nepeta Leijon (Facts/Theories) 

Lesser known fact that even Hussie was likely unaware of: Nepeta, as an olive blood, is canonically the third most physically strong troll in the group. That along with her experience with hunting highly dangerous monsters make her a highly formidable force. Therefore her death at the hands of Gamzee easily fits her into the "Sacrificial Lion" trope. The Sacrificial Lion trope depicts a highly powerful individual being effortlessly dispatched by a great evil to properly put to scale how great the danger is. Also, Nepeta did, in fact fulfill her role as Rogue of Heart by stealing all of our hearts.

Her typing quirk prefix also ends in half of a moiral sign, with Equius' ending in the other half :33 < D -->

With the Undertale reference for Davepetasprite, the green heart is used with Nepeta while the orange is Davesprite. The green heart in Undertale is said to represent Kindness, while the orange is Bravery. When green attacks is used, it is said to heal the Player or help clean the monster. Orange attacks move very fast, to counter this, the Player needs to move through them as well.

Nepeta is one of the characters who didn’t deserve to die. She’s one of the characters who you can’t hate.

A reason why I think Nepeta and Equius' moirailship works, is that cats like platonic affection. They show it everyday to the ones they love, especially in groups. If a human is to pet a cat, they like strong, versatile motions. If you pet too softly, they'll play bite you, but if you use a twinge of force in your movements to show your actions aren't playful, but loving, then they'll become putty. Not to mention, Cats are incredibly strong themselves, their purring helps heal (for 22hz is the rate at which wounds or scars regenerate and help stimulate bloodflow [hint much Hussie??]), and like creatures that can keep their pace. Also cats just have a tendency to bond really well with equine.

There is alot of dialoge in the comic implying that the post-scratch trolls are the first generation of paradox clones (i.e. the "perfect clones"), just like the post-scratch humans, in which case Nepeta and Karkat is not related at all.

I've just started watching these fridgestuck videos, and something that bothers me is that there appears to be an assumption present about the ancestors, their breeding, and the familial implications for the trolls we follow in the story. specifically, it seems like we're assuming here that, because the Disciple and the Sufferer were matesprits, they were the breeding pair that must've produced Karkat and Nepeta, since Karkat's ancestor is the Sufferer, and Nepeta's ancestor is the Disciple. this was also brought up with regards to the Marquise and the Dolorosa in Kanaya's video, implying that Vriska and Kanaya were the result of that pair's relationship. while it's true that troll partners on Alternia combine their genes before the genetic material is thrown together in the mother grub, and the purpose for this is so that stronger genetic links can form between particularly compatible pairs... all of that goes out the window when you realize that the trolls and their ancestors were created ectobiologically by Karkat on a meteor in the furthest ring. the social relationships that the ancestors formed later in life have nothing to do with how their genes got combined to make Karkat and company. what probably happened was that the ancestors' ghost slime imprints got combined into one big genetic slurry to create Karkat's generation of trolls... but that does make for a much smaller gene pool than Alternian trolls usually come from. it's safe to say that all of these trolls are closer to siblings than practically any other trolls on Alternia... but who is related to who is totally obfuscated, and genetic familial relations are on the record as not mattering to trolls anyway. under normal circumstances, lineage is practically impossible to track for any given troll, so culturally, they have no precedence to care.

of the four Trolls involved with the Signless, including the Signless himself, only the Disciple died of natural causes: the Dolorosa was murdered by Duelscar, the Signless was publicly executed, and the Psionic was turned into a living battery for their ruler's flagship.

I never even caught the cat burglar pun with Nepeta, I always thought it was Rogue of Heart because she'll "steal your heart," as cats tend to do with most people who have... SOULS, amirite? Anyways I'm sure both are intentional on whatever level anything else is with Hussie lmao

Hearing how the fandom won't let her be put to rest is uncomfortable. She's a character with a good moiralligance, cute character, and unfortunately wasn't written to live.

I'm just a teensy bit sad that you missed an opportunity to mention that Arsenic was also heavily present in green dye and paint back in the day (Scheele's Green, for example) for it's vibrant, non-fading color. At least until people realized their choice of interior decorating was actually very hazardous to their health, even linked to mysterious causes of death. This is also a nice tie-in to Nepeta's blood color caste on the hemospectrum.

Ive heard you saying that like, vriska and kanaya were sisters bc of the relationship between their ancestors? i thought you meant, like step sisters or smth and i didnt really understand, but now your saying that karkat and nepeta are related biologically? i always thought that karkat cloned the post-scratch trolls to have very minor genetic variants from the pre-scratch trolls. He didnt mix two of the dancestors dna together to make the post-scratch trolls like john did in his session, right? What was your thinking when you said that some of the trolls were related? am i missing something?
