This video is as great as all your others. Thanks! This is the only IR-X video that clearly shows what the clean channel sounds like and that the dirty channel has a great low gain sound.
Fantastic review! Would you go for this or the Simplifier mk2 for home recording? I currently have the Simplifier mk1 and it works great for me, but I can’t decide between the IRX and mk2 as an upgrade. I’m leaning toward the IRX especially since I have the Mk1. Thoughts? Thanks!
I'm thinking of grabbing one of these. Currently, my main rig is simply the Line 6 HX Effects with a Strymon Iridium inserted into a FX loop of the HX Effects. I have fuzz, boost and overdrive before the loop and then modulation, delay and reverb after. The HX Effects then goes out to my interface. Being that the output of the Friedman IR-X is balanced, can I put it in the loop of the HX Effects? Will I need to use two return jacks for a stereo return? Would I need to set the returns on the HX Effects to be line level? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Die Frage habe ich mir auch gestellt. Erster Gedanke: Loop ist ja zwischen Preamp und Endstufe. Wenn ich nur die Endstufe des Amps nutze (in den Return des Amps gehe), dann kann ich ja einfach so verkabeln. Send Friedman -> Effekte -> Return vom Amp. Oder vielleicht den Send des Friedman in einen Splitter? A zum Amp und B durch die Effekte in den Return? In ein paar Wochen kann ich das mal testen, dann hab´ ich den hoffentlich hier liegen 😁
Its usually not velcro, but its to stop the strings from vibrating behind the nut. In high gain stutter metal this is needed for the fast stopping to be dead silent. Some people put it even farther down the nut if they are doing alot of tapping to stop the open strings from ringing out. That said. Its dumb. Solving problems that mostly don’t exist
