Single Camera Audience shot (100% pure 1st gen Lazy Cow)
Surprised that none of my friends have uploaded this one ... (maybe I fumbled and simply couldn't find it ...?)
Congrat's to Lazy Cow and notably the man who actually shot the video 'cause very well done !
A two night stand at Chapel Hill NC, which was very successful. Yes the previous night (3-24-93) strikes many minds thanks to a thunderous "Jack Straw" but this 25th show also is a killer. 8th show of the East Coast Tour which ended at Nassau, NY on April 5th ... (oddly, also uploaded, as was 4-4-93, as a LoloYodel dual-cam re-mix).

If I may ... starts ok ... but then we move gracefully to Vince, then Phil and Bob Weir ... and then to end on a very honorable Garcia, with his unique "ripplets" or "triplets" ... whatever ... so so nice !

My name is Marty. I got on the bus on December 7, 1968 when the Grateful Dead performed their first concert in Louisville. The next time that I saw them was the infamous gig at the Warehouse.

After Jerry's cremation, his ashes were spread in Ganges river in India while Bob Weir played this song at the Ganges.

raju shah The whole ashes in India thing always sounded odd to me. Supposedly it was Bobby's idea or maybe the new wife. As far as I know Jerry never said anything about wanting to be in the Ganges river.

93 was an odd year for me as I don't remember being at any shows. A transition time for me as well as the band with Bruce leaving.

I think Tom Cruise is the near same age right now (2015) as Jerry was in this video. If you didn't know him how old would you guess Jerry is here? 78?

did the fingers on his left hand always shake like then when playing? i don't think its vibrato or maybe it is. never noticed it before. around 1:35-2:35
@andrewptob
@andrewptob 7 лет назад
Hmm, that's interesting. Don't think so. It might just be a stress injury. Like, I had that the other day after stripping paint of my baseboards. When I went to grab my cup of coffee the next morning, my arm was shaky when I gripped it. Maybe it's something like that, but I guess his health issues could've caused that toward the end. I don't really know
@NINJAMONKEYY3000

Dan shaking is due to sustaining notes played.

I think it was onset of Parkinsons Disease in stage #2 which he knew and when I saw him in 94 I saw the same shaking only worse than this. God Bless Jerry!!!!

Deer Creek 93 is weirder, Jerry takes more of a backseat to Bob and Bob really nails it. Jerry is really good here though

That's called using vibrato. Every guitar player does it
@fseidenii9636
@fseidenii9636 9 лет назад
David W um during rhythm sections where he is playing chords, or just hold left hand position without picking, is he still using vibrato? Do you even play?
@bakuslash52
@bakuslash52 9 лет назад
Yeah I actually do. I have for ten years, I started when I was eight. And I've seen plenty of guitarists shake their hand while playing a chord. And I've done it before too, when you get tired of playing the same song, it just gives you something to do to add a little extra while playing. It really doesn't make much of a difference though with chords. But ya know. Even if his hands were shaking from drugs, Do we really even need to point that out? Just enjoy listening to him play.
