That plant seller was honest with the price, in fact he sold it for lesser cause it was probably his first sell of the day. It could’ve been higher considering it’s a succulent. But you also couldn’t have known having been through a lot of scams and being too generous can bite you in the back sometimes.

Calling elders 'Chacha' is totally fine. It means you are giving them the honor similar to that of the honor you give to your Father's brother(Uncle).❤

80 for that plant was actually low price , i bought the same for 200 from nearby nursery...It is a succulent plant they are comparatively expensive despite small size ❤

Actually that guy might really not have 20 change….because its early morning and mostly no small business owner carries change with them..and you might be the first customer of the day😊😊😊and also 99% of the people wont expect any money from any foreigner…mostly people are honest no matter wherever you are in India….No matter what class they belong to Indian people are prideful people…..😊and dont ever think that people are too nice because of the camera…they are just excited to see someone from other country and try their best to make you comfortable😊😊

Succulent plants are a bit costly in India as they are considered ornamental plant. The nursery man was selling it to you for much lesser price. He was probably just doing "Bonni". He wouldn't let go of first earning of the day so he gave it to you for lesser price. I m feeling sad of the seller. Hope he earned well later in the day.
