"if you wanna be gay, be gay", it captures perfectly the 90s where people didn't understand how this worked :p... I think it's great that all the characters' personal biases were not hidden and were sometimes used as plots. I do believe the writers did it on purpose so we would mock how silly they are about those biases, like for instance when Ross and Rachel hired the male nanny. What was hilarious is how ridiculous Ross was all about it because of his self-doubt (when it comes to his manhood). The one I didn't get though is Phoebe that would be all about men being "real" men in later seasons whereas early seasons Phoebe was more open-minded about male homosexuality (and men's feminine side). She even married a gay ice skater (even though he was revealed to be straight or bisexual). Even though I like Phoebe, there were some striking contradictions when it comes to deeper topics related to her mindset. I know the characters' flaws were overexaggerated on the last seasons, like for instance Joey becoming dumber than in early seasons but Phoebe had some pretty out of character plots at some point (that had nothing to do with highlighting her personality's flaws).

Aside the headline to this video being so wrong. Ross deserved an Emmy. Or at least a nomination. Was he ever nominated? I'll Google....
