Can we appreciate all the work that went into this sequence? It was probably a hard sell to the production department, but it really paid off. It helps to underline Joey's humiliation.

Absolutely. I think it was getting permission to use The Polices' song and having those posters featured in Time Square. I'm still surprised that this was in the show's first season.

So according to you, if its a black and white pic, one should paint their faces bright grey or whitish grey😂😂😂 Its not like those times were ancient. They still had colour film but so keep the expenses some companies prefer to print in black and white. Many still do. Taking pics on colour films has its advantages like you can make the end result monochromed or coloured

VD stands for venereal disease, which is an older term for sexually transmitted disease. Venereal is something that relates to sexual desire/intercourse. A bit surprised Joey knew what it meant. Also, you can spot the poster in the background of a later episode (s1e11), when Monica and Phoebe are walking on the street. The song playing is "Don't Stand So Close to Me" by The Police.

Well, when actors play doctors in medical series there are unfortunately many people who ask them for advice in medical issues, therefore I find it pretty plausible.

Yes I thought that too but o realized the average person is not aware they hire models for these campaigns they assume they are real people. Which isn’t unfounded to think; campaigns for things like diabetes and breast cancer really do use real patients, so there was just confusion. As for Joey’s family that’s just ignorance about how someone actually GETS VD. they were probably scared he was gonna leave it on the toilet seat lol.

+Autrement Identique I'm German (though I speak fluent English). Point being, don't most people simply search on Google if they don't know something? Even though Google for me is in German, a simple search will still suffice, and provide me wth the information much sooner... Not judging, just wondering.
