did u know denken didnt just use all those flashy spells against frieren for no reason? the tornado was because it was good against flying mages (previously it was shown that they couldnt levitate in a blizzard or they would be blown away) and fire from all sides is good against defensive magic as it comes in from all angles, forcing someone to fully shield around them and burns a lot of mana. these are good techniques against a mage that is stronger than denken was. he then tried to overwhelm frieren with catastravia as it forces her into defencive too and doesnt give a chance to counter attack. also notice how he uses the 'old' way of fighting and not the modern method of overwhelming physical mass instead

My bet goes to A Place Further Than the Universe If it’s fantasy and adventure it could be Frieren.. but still the very best anime that I could think of is still that I mentioned first ( A place further than universe) is the best anime ever in my opinion
