Yes... the long fingers with the long nails and the strange ring-amazing scene , its a classic and i will remember it always when i hear this music!Mr.Sarandan was acting so well ...this movie is a classic , do you remember when you watch it for the first time ?? I do remember - its scared me and amazed me , i was 10-11 years old alone in home and i watch the movie on TV , it was 12.00 PM and if my parents were in home i would not watch it , but they were gone on some party...it is one of the movies i will remember all my life , the music was nice , the actors were very good and in my childish imagination it was a real deal ... i still believe in vampires just because this movie!
The scene were Charlie iz pulled by Regine and that sexy as hell dance was soooooo hot. Why you knew some was gonna get their bones jump tonight. Woohoo!!!!
I vividly remember his long fingers and nails and the dark-eyed deadly stare he shot at Charlie across windows, thought it was real creepy and strange. I was around 6 years old when I watched it on videotape on my parents' tv. Just a year after it's release. Didn't watch it again until like ten years later and found the scene and many others just as riveting and spine-tingling. This is music you never forget. Brad is a brilliant composer. He did a similar sounding score for a Tales From the Crypt episode way back as I recall. Something to do with an evil cult. I have always been fascinated by the various rooms and halls and decor in Jerry's home. The paintings of probably his past lovers including the Amy lookalike and that stain-glass window at the top of his front hall stairs. Oh yes.
I really miss how vampires used to be. They had a really deep seductive notion about them, they could charm you in a mere glance but should you try to fight them they show you an ugly evil.
the solo was done on an electric violin,he thought it would be interesting to go back to the eastern European idea of equating a vampire with a fiddle,Then twisting it to sound like a guitar... which makes it even more fucking cool!
For me this is the best Scene in the whole Movie! Everithing is just perfect , the acting , the músic , the fangs & those long fingers with long nails closing that window is just epic!
That guitar! Holy crap! When I heard it the first time I never realized that a screaming lead guitar would be such a great instrument for a horror flick soundtrack. I dunno ifthe movie would've been that good without the scenes where that guitar just adds such intensity to them. Brilliant Brad! Just Brilliant!
@@shayekisitu I think the electric violin was used on the other version. The scene where him and Amy are getting it in. This version is when he first sees Jerry through his window. I think this is an electric guitar or some sort of synth that sounds like one.
Your life is the same Day after day Everything that you do You do the same old way I can show you the world in a different light Keep your heart to yourself Give your soul to the night Come to me When you're lonely Come to me When you need something new Come to me When you're restless 'Cause I've got something just for you Just for you...
this is so so so fucking BEAUTIFUL!!! \m/ all the guitar-people think that this is electric guitar, and they are wrong - because this is ELECTRIC VIOLIN !!!
+Rish Fish I wonder what happened to him, what made him quit... I wonder if he still plays music just for himself... Such a talented man, wish he would keep on sharing his gift with us...
+Antichrist2000 I agree Hans Zimmer is overrated and repeat his own material to much. Now Brad Fidel is unrated, for you can hear his music from his film he compose the score to, like The Terminator, True Lies, and few others have there own feel.
+Eliskoopa Maybe it stressful to think of music can be different and not reused old material. Sadly the truth most composers if get so much work, they'll repeat the same material over and over again with only little differences.
I just watched the remake last night and while it was cool in it's own little way and better than a lot of today's horror movies? It just doesn't even come close to original. The original is easily one of the greatest pieces of horror genius ever created. I would go so far to say it trounces Bram Stoker's Dracula. it was so original and is still fresh today. No one ever thought before to make a movie about people laughing off vampires as TV trash or the fact they've moved right next door to you.
This song had me feeling weird feelings as a kid when it came out and realizing - ohhh, something’s gonna happen to me one day and it has something to do with this…never forgot it. Genius.
One of the most best 80's vampire movies i have ever seen!!!It's the music that makes the movie so brilliant, atmospheric, seductive and irresistable...could never make such great vampire movies like this again
LOVED this song when it came out in freight Night. Even watching it as a kid, the song moved me and I never forgot it! I'm glad I wasn't the only one loving this sexy, weak at the knees song!
Thank you for uploading this! It is so hard to find the soundtrack online, I've looked many years ago searching for this! Best vampire film of the '80's!
agreed... this captures that magic feeling only 80s movies and music can bring for some reason. and the scene with the window when u see sarandons long nails gives me goosebumps!
God... I've always loved Fright Night. And this song... Just sets me in a mood, and an emotion I can't explain. It was dark... Sexy. I fantasize about being touched while this song is playing. I love it.
Facts, surprised nobody has sampled it. Hell, how has nobody sampled this song period, the whole thing is dope. There's 2 versions in Fright Night 1985. This is the Dream Window version. The other is the longer electric violin 🎻 version, when Jerry bit Amy.
Its nice to Know the fright night fans are still goin strong. Peter Vincent rules. And the soundtrack is just awsome. Keep it goin. Hey. There are two guys outside, and I think their carrying a coffin. Groovy.
The intensity of this song electrifies to this day. Wonder, lust, passion. All crammed into this one. Dang it, Brewster how the heck did you miss this one. She could of jump ya bones that night.
tashisso kute His name is Chris Sarandon - a very great and charismatic actor. For me it's the best performance of a seductive, dark, evil but damn sexy vampire ever in a movie...
+Melissa Hartevelt my god I was like 6 in this and new at that age he was an attractive man, and as I gre to teens I was still like WOW haha! sexy man, especially in that turtle neck haha !
