This was a uniquely helpful video because I have a frigidaire model lFTR2032TFO with a failure to refrigerate problem (freezer works fine though) and my evaporator fan does not turn, so this video helps me prep for that job. Seeing the clips and wiring helps. I have seen it in person but I did not pay attention to the layout when I opened mines up. Have blessed 2021.
Thank you very much you saved the day for us. The only thing that I have problems understanding was a little bit about how to get the motor off you know you have to twist that thing on top which didn't make a lot of instant visually sense. Thank you very much you saved us a lot of money today.
I replaced the fan and thermostat control for fridge but the fan is not spinning. It worked when I first installed it but it hasn't worked to push the cold air into fridge. The Freezer is working so dont know what the cause is.
Sam, do you have a zelle account? I can send you $5 for this video. I have this same exact model Frigidaire and I successfully replaced the evaporator fan motor. This video aided me with being familiar with the getting assess to the motor. My only exploring was in getting the motor housingto release the motor. That was not in the video. Mines rotated 90 degrees to release after pressing to plastic clips.
Obviously Panasonic is manufacturing failure prone evaporator fans. Built in obsolescence keeps the money flowing. The LFTR2032 is a pile of garbage. Frigidaire has lost my business for life.
There were a lot of steps skipped in this video. Like... how do you remove the old motor from the housing and install the new one? Nevermind... it was just one step. Carry on. I'm an idiot.
My Frigidaire is not cooling and I hear water dripping in the back of the refrigerator but don't see any leakage. It is a brand new refrigerator what cause the cooling in the refrigerator to stop working?
Sam, thank you for as far as you went in this video, it was very helpful, however, I purchased just the motor not the assembly. It was a bit awkward figuring how to disassemble it so I could snap in the motor. I have a thumbs up because you did point out a couple of things I didn’t think to do. The motor was $22. Thumbs up!
My problem is the evaporator fan connector is damaged. The connectors don't want to go into each other tightly. Do you have any idea how to fix it? The problem is not the fan but rather the connectors.
Hi. My fridge is warm too top and bottom, but unlike this video, my evaporator fan is blowing up top, so would it be the freezer coils? There is also no cracking sound as it is in this video. I took the back panel off and the coils were not cool or moist. May I please ask your input on this matter?
Hello, I see that in your video, the fan has 3 wires. The fan that Amazon sells has only 2 wires (black and red, no green wire). I believe the green wire is for ground. If I replace the fan with the one that Amazon sells, it should work? Please let me know. Thank you
Greetings How do I fix my Frigidaire ice maker which sends ice flying out of the ice maker mold and then outside the bucket instead of inside? May the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ bless you. Thank you.
Great video. My Freezer's fan stopped working, but upon touching it, it restarted. I am changing the fan, assuming that the fan has a dead spot, but I am worried that something else is the problem. Any advice?
just moved into this placed. and i have the same problem. same brand of fridge and it just stopped working wasted most of my food. i hope i can try and fix it
I bought a used frigidaire from someone for 190 bucks the other day. Was the last of my money and pisses me off being low income. Anyways the fan motor feels like its blowing good as I can feel the air. There is no frost on it as its only been plugged in for like a week. However the fridge only cooled for like 3 days and then has quit getting cool. So its something to do with the defrost system?
What if the fan rotates but then turns off. I’m getting 120v in the plug but once it’s connected It’s intermittent with only 3v for like a second at a time.
Unfortunately Frigidaire has figured out if they keep changing model parts etc it would be beneficial for them in regards to making profits. Literally I have had 2 fridges same model 6 months apart with different fans. 🙄 literally the same exact fridge! I would suggest calling your local appliance parts in your area. Give them the model # and they will tell you if they have part in stock or if they need to order it. Hope that helps my friend! 😀
Everything starts in the freezer. The fridge gets cold because the air pushes down through the chute by the evaporative coil. So if nothing is cold you want to check... is the compressor in the back of the fridge running? Are the coils getting cold behind the freezer panel? Is the fan blowing? Some Frigidaire models have a board... at that point you would have to troubleshoot the board. If your applaince is new under 1 year... it should be covered under the warranty. Hope that helps.
What I mean is that there is a defrost timer in the control panel in the upper part of the lower (fresh) section of the fridge. As I understand it, the defrost timer periodically turns off the compressor and allows for a short thaw cycle. When in the defrost mode - does the evap fan turn off?
