Please pray for me, I had a terrible car wreck Easter Sunday and I sustained a horrible laceration on my scalp. I’m still dealing with it facing at least one more surgery. Prayers are greatly appreciated ❤

Mary, still love your hair, im a little jealous, because last sunday, I saw another utuber with a cute pixie, so I went and had all my hair cut off. Im kicking myself because it took me 9mnths to grow it out, it was about your length. Oh well it will grow back😂. Yours looks great, dont get a wild hair like I did. Lol

BTW, crochet hooks can be very handy for sewing projects! I use them to help pull loose threads underneath hems, pull out long threads when undoing machine seams and button threads, and help push/pull things like elastic or tie cords. Sewing needles are essential for most crochet projects, as well, especially weaving in loose yarn and assembling multi-piece projects.

What a cute sewing kit, and it actually has everything you need for most small projects and repair jobs! That would make a great gift for anyone who is getting married, or moving into a new home or apartment. Good graduation gift, too, even for young men; perhaps especially for young men! Just before my maternal grandmother died, she taught me how to use a sewing machine (I was 12, then she died when I was 13). I have a machine now (handed down from my late mother-in-law) but still do most of my sewing by hand. There's something meditative about it.

Oh girl I took sewing in home ec and ummmm well I aced the cooking part without even trying but the sewing LOL just the opposite and I have left over bad thoughts about it and I really tried too LOL I'm so happy that this kit meets your approval AND what great ideas of giving it as presents!

I stopped growing hair on my legs ect when I was 42. Then at age 58 my eye lashes stopped growing. Thank goodness that grande lash serum really works. I am 61 and my hair is thinning. Getting old sometimes sucks lol.

Mary you are not the only one who ‘repairs’ your clothes like that. I have a tee that my late husband gave me that he got from a car dealership (freebie). A hole appeared right it the middle of the chest area. I used medical grade tape that hospitals use to tape it closed inside. It works perfect. I even washed it several times and it is still there! 🙂

LOL Karen...I wish I still had my old surgery coat here from my first hospital but I gave it to my daughter as a memento of my Xray career. This thing was taped with medical tape all up both sides. I refused to get a new one and it was navy see so 16 years later some people at that hospital when I would fill in would say "how did you get that"? LOL There were not any more of them and I had it all those years ... held together with tape LOL They called me the Tape Queen LOL

I really enjoyed this video. A little bit of everything. Your hair is getting so long and it looks great. I’m with you on sewing, staple or glue everything. When my son was in TigerCubs I glued on his badges. They had a ceremony in the middle of the summer outside and it was so hot the badges fell off. How embarrassing. Maybe I should invest in the sewing kit. What a beautiful idea, a prayer room. I wish I had enough space to have one. Have a wonderful, blessed weekend. 😊❤️

In two days my husband will have been gone three months already. I’m heartbroken. Seems like just yesterday. Really miss him. I take one day at a time. Dolores you've been in my prayers since before you lost Cameraman but you bet your bippy you are written on paper now! Your story just breaks my heart too because ShyGuy and I have a really long history as well and it really makes me think...how would I feel. When you've been through ALL the stages of life with somebody it truly is like part of you is taken. I love you!

Hey Mary! Great video! I ordered the Gillette razor and have been enjoying it. I wish I had ordered it sooner. I’m glad you found a lip sunscreen that you like. I didn’t know you were looking for one with color or I wouldn’t have made a suggestion. I didn’t know of any so I’m happy you shared the elf. I’m going to try it. You can jot my name down for these skin cancers if you would. I have three more surgeries in the coming two months. They can’t do three at one time. Hi Mary...yes to hair, yet to anything:) Growing out hair is the most miserable experience. I wore long in High School, and shorter through my 40s & 50s and then late 50's grew it out. At this point even though it is fine and lots of loss into my 60s, I don't think I'd ever cut it off again. Long hair is just simpler! I love the movie War Room....thank you for talking about your prayer journal and war room, and actually cleaning out your closet. I am slowly working through my house to clean out STUFF!! Your discussion of the lid-lifting stuff made me laugh, cuz when I see your lids I don't think about one drooping more than the other...I notice that your lids don't droop all the way to your lashes like mine do! I'm not complaining or being jealous. Small eyes run in my family, as do droopy eyelids, so I don't see them so much a sign of aging as an indication of which genetic group I'm part of! Some older relatives (80+) have gotten eyelid surgery because theirs drooped so low they blocked their vision. Don't know if I'll get to that point, but I have accepted the droop for now. Keep enjoying your lovely eyelids!!

I've seen people whose lids are like that too and I wonder how they can still see. If mine start getting to the point that it would within 10 years obstruct my vision then that might be one surgery I actually opt'd for. I'd want to do it before I needed it since I wouldn't want them to turn me away because of my age when I actually DID need it. KWIM?

It's impressive how you put such concerted effort into styling your hair, with lovely results, IMHO! Plus, you look great in gray/white hair! I'm a year older than you and still far from fully gray. I'm very lazy with my hair. Part of the reason why I own so many hats! I have a blow dryer and curling iron, each of which I use only 2-3 times a week. I keep my hair mid-length because if it were any shorter, I could no longer cut it myself. That's right...I cut it myself! Don't worry, I've learned how from a pro (my bff since 7th grade is a cosmetologist), but it's pretty simple. I call it the Unicorn/Back Tail/Beard method. My hair is not as thick as it used to be, but it's not at all thin. If mine were thin, I'd probably keep it short. Since you look great in any length of hair, I hope you choose the length that you find to be the most fun!!

Mary, Great video, as usual! I love your shirt and the prayer light! I would like to request a prayer. I was diagnosed with a rare cancer in November. I had surgery in January, and it was stage 3. I am going for my 6 month scan on Thursday. I'm a little nervous, but I'm not scared for myself. I know I will be okay no matter what happens Thursday and/or down the line. I am worried for the people in my life who count on me, especially my daughter. I lost my mother when she was young and I was young. I know how hard it is to lose your mother earlier than you should, and I don't want my daughter to have to go through that.

Hi Mary, thanks for the video! That top is a good color for you. I think the crochet hook in your sewing kit is for pulling snags back to the wrong side. For example, if you snag a sweater. You can also buy a smaller gadget to pull really small snags back to the wrong side. And it sounds to me like the company that sold you the scalp massage gadget has a heck of a recurring revenue model with the cartridge replacements! I very much doubt that the thing is doing anything for you.

I am a serious perfume junkie. My Elizabeth Arden White Tea Mandarin Blossom scent along with the same cream gets so many compliments, even when I can no longer smell it, others can. It reminds me of the orange 🍊 smelly sticker back in the day. People always comment how clean I smell with it. I also spray shirts I hang to dry with it. That must have been a dupe for MFK’s Baccarat Rouge 540. I loved the original one. It lasted forever and was a masterpiece imo, but it’s been cheapened and reformulated. It’s not at all the same and no lasting power, but it still has a criminally high price tag. YSL’s Mon Paris is a great scent as well. A prayer closet is a great thing to have. The Bible does say to pray for our leaders and nation. I would appreciate being added to your prayer list. 🛐 I need a job and so far nothing has worked out. It’s been a very long tough season to say the very least.

Mary, one of my favorite Bible verses is Matthew 11:12: "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force." It's a call for us to be that "force" as Prayer Warriors. So glad you've set up your War Room! The bird light is lovely! The Holy Spirit appeared as a dove, after all!! Haven't seen the movie yet but I'll watch it soon; sounds like a powerful movie. Of course, so many of us have been focusing on The Chosen, and I'm excited that the Season 4 Round Table discussions (a Protestant minister, a Catholic priest, and a Messianic rabbi discuss the show) are being released this Sunday. The incurable Bible nerd in me loves those round tables!!

Mary, the essential oil mix, could you look up ingredients used, and perhaps buy the oils, mix with what ever carrier oil they use in the ingredients, and spray it on hair/scalp then use the product? Would it replace having to buy the oil replacements? Just a thought....I have several oils so I am always doing that for products.

Well it's a blend they won't say what it is LOL BUT you know what....I wonder if you aren't on to something. That's a pretty good idea! What oils do you like for healthy hair?

@@GlitzyFritzy I put rosemary essential oil in my bottle of shampoo...shake before use....it helps hair be stronger and grow....and of course, not hair but pure peppermint essential oil is my pain/muscle relief rubbed on area that hurts....beats out all the RX I've tried over 15 years.

Gotta agree with you about the Nyx bronzer Mary. It didn’t blend well for me either. I’ve been mixing it with a blush (and just one pounce of the brush!) and it’s working. Better than wasting it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for the honest reviews. I have only heard great things about the NYX blushes and bronzer. I would be interested in a hair video as I am having issues with my hair since I am getting the coarser gray strands coming in. We don’t have the same length etc but I am always interested it what works for other people.

Oh... And I'm sorry to hear that the eye makeup remover didn't work for you, but I'm glad it was at least so inexpensive. It works great for me, but then... I've never splurged for the Lancome. Maybe if I do one day I'll become pickier, but for now I'm all about 'cheap', LOL!

One of these days I'll have to look into the ingredients and see if I can figure out what in it was burning my eyes but I'm so glad it doesn't burn yours :D I'm glad I got to try it though...I love most WNW

Love your sense of humor, Miss Mary. I actually really like the NYX bronzer, but must use a super light hand because I’m fair, too. My absolute favorite bronzer has garbage packaging (from Flower beauty). I forget the name, but it looked like a swirled neutral bronze. Is that even a thing?😂 Neutral bronze? Anyhow, I got the NYX because I was protesting the packaging on the other. Haha. I’m sure they’ll repackage now, just for me. Following your hair saga. Looks cute, btw.

That YSL bronzer looks really nice. I kind of want to try that, but I just recently bought the hourglass one which is not bad. Have you tried that serum from Lancome? It’s the one that has like a triple head on it. It has three different products in it it’s quite expensive but it sounds really amazing so I ordered it from HSN. I treated myself because I’ve been going through such, a hard time with my health so I said let me just treat myself. I didn’t like those blushes from NYX either.💞

No I've not tried that serum Cathy but I know which one you mean and I just can't get it. I'll tell you why. It makes me remember "DreamTones" and then I get upset again and that was YEARS ago LOL. Dreamtones was suppose to fade dark spots like this product and was in this fancy smancy kind of of packaging (for that time). It's a long story but like this serum it was really expensive and did absolutely NOTHING. So mmmm nope not even tempted to try it LOL

I missed the boat in recommending lip balm with sunscreen! I remember u asking but I forgot about it by the end of the video!! I use O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair with SPF 35 & it is water resistant. It was recommended by a dermatologist you tuber I watch. It does NOT have that yucky sunscreen taste but it does have a fruity taste. It has a creamy consistency and is easy to apply. Currently $7 on Amazon for one tube but I am very happy with it. May be too late since u have sooooo many now! 😂😂

Hmm...haven't tried the Burt's Bees spf balm yet. Wonder why, cuz I really like Burt's Bees, especially the Pomegranate. Also tempted to try the Elf sunscreen gloss you like. Yeah, the Coppertone is on the greasy side and will slip around but I like how moisturizing it is and am not bothered with having it on my tongue, which I guess is inevitable though I haven't noticed it really.

Hi Mary. I hate having one eyelid that doesn't cooperate, meaning droops more than the other. And thanks for recommending the Elf makeup remover. I think I'm on my 3rd bottle! I love the Baccarat Rouge 540 perfume. It's my favorite cold weather fragrance. I'm loving your hair longer. A big yes to velcro rollers for us thin hair women. They're a lifesaver. Interested to hear if the hair growth product works. I just ordered the new Elf setting spray. I passed on the Bronzing Drops. Haven't heard anything good about it. I didn't like the NYX Butter Bronzer. They are streaky! I unfortunately ordered one of the blushes, but I'm sure it's going to be a fail. Have a wonderful weekend. Love you!🥰🩷🩷

Hi Mary I use ultrasun spf and lip spf. Unlike many lip spfs it actually moisturises my lips and I don’t notice any taste tbh. It’s clear btw and is available in both thirty and fifty. I really like your top and this aging rock chick still loves tie dye😂. I chopped my hair a few weeks ago from middle of my back (bra strap length 😂) to just skimming my shoulders. I have had major hair loss due to nutrition deficiencies re inflammatory bowel disease recently and have lost more than half my once thick hair (thankfully I had a lot to start with or I would probably be almost 👩‍🦲 bald). I’m still trying to get used to it being so much shorter/thinner but it takes hours less to dry😂 and I’m using less product. Best wishes x

Yeah, the hems of jeans absolutely need to be done by machine, and by someone who is skilled at altering jeans. I'm pretty good at sewing (thanks, Grandma, for the lessons!), but I would also take jeans to a pro.

OK yes I think I see what is happening here. Debbie made a comment and asked for prayers. There have been 13 replies to that request and one of them was you. You were talking about your hair cut. So what happened was that you accidentally made a comment UNDER Debbies instead of how you normally do it. So RU-vid figures that you are interested in Debbie's comment and those replying on it and it sends you (in addition to Debbie) whatever anybody writes under her comment. Make sense? Like how you are seeing what I'm writing to YOU because I replied under YOUR comment. If other people jumped on here and started writing under your comment in addition to me we would BOTH get that reply in our emails ;) I hope I explained that well.
