This year's Froebel Trust Autumn Lecture is all about children's play and creativity.
Thursday 5 October 2023, 7pm (BST).
Our guest speaker Professor Tina Bruce CBE is renowned for her tireless work in the early childhood sector. In a challenging time when so many families, nursery schools and early years settings are facing increasing pressures, she is an important advocate for young children and their right to a creative, nurturing education. Professor Bruce's deep commitment to Froebelian principles and children's play is recognised worldwide and we're delighted that she will be giving this year's Froebel Trust Autumn Lecture.
This special event will be an opportunity for educators, leaders, researchers and all those who care about early childhood education and the experiences of young children today to come together. All are welcome.
The Lecture will be recorded and available to view on our website after the event.

Hello Tina, this is Mariam Shera nee Abbas all the way from Pakistan. I thoroughly enjoyed your talk and was transported all the way back to 1973 where I happily remembered working with Chris Athey and yourself. These were memorable experiences which I still remember today. I'm excited to see Froebel making so much sense in our world today!

At the 59:40 mark she gives the example of how play integrates multiple literacy skills. She uses the number 37 skills. Are there actually 37 literacy skills identified? If so, where can I find that list?
