Love the beat. Funny thing is that I catch myself whistling this tune while walking our dachshund. lol! Can't seem to get it out of my head now. lo! :)
You've caught what's called an "earworm". Garry Owen is one of the worst. But seriously, if you're walking a dachshund, you need to whistle something more appropriate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,like "Der Hohenfriedberger" march. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3XC_rq1OEB8.html. Your dachshund will feel much more at home.
@@thelad9434 Oh come on,,,,,,,,,,,you know what I meant: Gary Owen is "one of the worst EAR-WORMS". Once it infects you, you will be whistling it for days. For the record: Gary Owen is one of the greatest military tunes in the world. And BTW,,,,,,,,,,,,Did you know Gary Owen actually has words to it?
I was at Gettysburg when there was once a performance of a fife and drum corp, when they beat those drums it almost makes you WANT to march along with them. So I can see why they needed the music.
lol, know that you love it, i dont think you have to be a reanactor to love this, you just have to be a biological organism with working ears to love it :D
@601SQNRAF sorry brother, the 21 st ga who leads the confederates every rememberance and the best. the camp chase are very good but will take the 21 st ga any day of the week!!
They’re not too loud, I play with a fife and drum band at Gettysburg we had seven drummers and three fifers and we could hear the fifes fine. The drums there also have echo from trees and buildings
