to me, the most valuable part of these videos might be to see you take sick beat, after sick beat and just be emotionally unaffected. Really puts one's own "bad luck" in perspective to see a real pro deal with it like a real pro. Thanks for these videos!

Could you do a strategy for 6max Turbo? Like bubble play with 20bbs each between 3 players and when you have the HUGE chiplead on bubble and also when u have the smallest on bubble

I love these strategy videos, I watch all of them when they come out. You're obviously super knowledgeable, is there any specific resource you used to learn over the years? Training sites, books, etc? Or does it just come with a ton of volume and experience?

84o vs JTs... from my experience, rec players often pot the flop with vulnerable top pair hands
@joelmcc88
@joelmcc88 7 лет назад
Taking into account he then shut down (even when he rivered trips :0) It's still going to be profitable to call 2nd pair and try and improve or bluff scare cards
@nikopakalen7342
@nikopakalen7342 6 лет назад
Yes but also draws bet the flop big. Still overall its so hard to get pair that folding middle pair is kind of impossible without amazing reads about specific player.
@nikopakalen7342
@nikopakalen7342 6 лет назад
Not betting turn with TJ is horrible for villain because there is so many draws out there, also checking river is super weird due to big blind extremely often having middle or bottom pair and if villain is betting them it will be for small sizing. Since villain is bettor he has weak hands he wants to bluff with and thus value betting and bluffing with big sizing works way better with that river card. It is also worth remembering that 99% of poker professionals and 99,99 of all player population are essentially recreational players in that specific stake and game should they play it so assuming that recreational player is "your local casino rec" is very wrong.

Is Tonka explaining how his *current opponent* would play from big blind vs small blind w/ KQs? I did not quite get his explanation of KQ dominating Ax, 7xs, etc.
@asqeriballaj5093
@asqeriballaj5093 7 лет назад
Staislaus he means its better for him to have kq against speculative hands like 87 jq 89 68 ect than having a2 a3 a4

I'm surprised that you say your opponents will call more at higher buy ins. It's been my experience that a min raise at low level buy ins ( $5 - $15 ) will hardly ever result in a fold. But I've never played high stakes so what do I know. Good vids always.

jim smith i think at higher BI they def bbway more and r more competent post flop.....
@joelmcc88
@joelmcc88 7 лет назад
I think what he meant is, at a lower buy in you dont mind going post flop IP if they do call as the villians on average will be less competent post flop

checking a players stats on pokerstars to see if they are a good player is absolutely ridiculous. Personaly i think tonka is maybe a half decent player, but in no way a pro online. Probably a pro live. And definitely a pro streamer, i enjoy his video's very much cos of his personality. He gets lucky online alot when he calls all ins in bountys. And he cashes so much cos he plays the big buy ins, with alot smaller fields with hardly any donkeys. Im guessing if he played the low buy in tourneys hed have terrible results just like the rest of us. He also has the freedom of not risking his own money in tournaments which makes his decisions even easier at big moments.

Always when its 4 handed in 6 max hypers, it's bingo time, strategy only lasts about 5 to 10 hands. Think its stupid doing a strategy video for these types of sitngos mayte. To be honest strategy on all games at stars is kind of pointless, your either chosen to get lucky and win or chosen to lose lose lose. Parker is one of the chosen ones.
@Pike1423
@Pike1423 7 лет назад
stars isn't rigged you are just fucking terrible at poker get a god damn grip dude. You must suck ass at life if everytime you are bad at something you twist it around in someway so it's not your fault. Maybe actually put in hundreds or thousands of hours spent studying poker at then you'll win

Dude it's called variance, not rigged. I'd love to see your poker graph over a sample of million hands and then let an expert to analyse your database and point out the leaks. You would pretty quickly go from ''rigged'' to being stupid.
