OU doesn’t have a WR problem. We have an injured WR problem.

Three turnovers on 3 consecutive possessions, with one being on the five yard line after the defense caused a turnover!! That’s why he got benched. Michael Hawkins is the future of OU football and Jackson needs to do what he needs to do when the season is over. Hate it for the kid but that’s big time football.

He’s just not mentally ready to start, he’s young and needs more time. Sometimes it is just that simple.

Jackson's problem is mental. He's not processing what he sees fast enough and is making bad decisions

When you have a disappointing bowl performance and hear all the "don't nake mistakes" rhetoric, it seems to have ingrained itself in Jackson's head. So when he started this year behind injured and limited o line play, he immediately went into a shell of "don't make any mistakes" and that itself is a mistake. Watched him in high school and this guy can absolutely ball. Hope he finds himself somewhere where he can regroup and go back to the assassin he was in high school.

Man OU has had two 5 star QBs not pan out in the last 5 years

It would be hard for any QB to succeed with how terrible OU’s OL is while also being down their entire 2 deep at WR. That being said Mike Hawkins Jr is a DAWG and is clearly the best QB they have

He was responsible for 3 unforced turnovers in one game and doesn’t have the awareness/ability to evade pass rush thanks to our beat up o line. Hawkins is the future at OU and I hope Arnold tears it up wherever he goes.

Jackson Arnold’s problem was turnovers that’s the difference between him and Hawkins is one is a turn over machine and the other isn’t

Jackson will be fine honestly. Either at oklahoma or elsewhere. As long as he can get out of his head and get comfortable on the D1 stage

I think everyone has given up on JA to early. A injured OL, 5 top receivers out. People say Hawkins played under the same condition not so. He got pulled after the first haft in the Tenn game. Hawkins came in fresh, but Hawkins has better run ability. Auburn was not near the test for Hawkins plus the exsperts said our OL blocked much better in that game. I think it is way too early to give up on him. Let’s see if they give him some playing time Once we get some receivers back.

Jackson Arnold told the media after the Tulane game that "We ran some of the North Texas offense today". OU wants to be either North Texas or Texas Tech on offense in the SEC? Weak offensive line because of ineffective NIL program? Arnold is a casualty of an unstable coaching situation at OU.

3 interceptions is not "solid." Arnold pretty much singlehandedly lost OU the bowl game last year with those turnovers, and Lebby was still there at that point. I realize it was his first start, but I was not impressed with him at all, and he continued to look bad for over three games this year.

Stop saying he did well in the bowl game. Not only three INTs, he had a fumble that lead to a score also. It was all foretelling. Hasn’t had much of a chance or opportunity? Really poor take on the situation.

Poor coaching from the Bob Stoops legacy, family and friends football program. OU has an inexperienced head coach, a fired AAC HC now OC and an inexperienced DC. BV, left OU because he couldn’t stop Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech. Bob brought his brother back.lol.

JA is turnover heavy as hell and most are his fault, but he’s more talented passing-wise, than Hawkins will ever be IMO. If he figures it out, he has a higher ceiling than Hawkins strictly due to his arm and can take the Sooners farther.

As an OU Alum i knew after his first game he wasn’t what we needed. He’s ok but he’s far from good let alone Oklahoma QB good. This new kid we got, the FRESHMAN HOLY CRAP HES GOOD I tell ya. All Outstanding QB’s from OU have had the IT factor. This is going back 30 years too, Arnold can’t wash the Jock straps of OU’s elite QB’s they have produced. Same as Spencer Ratler that dude sucked and Caleb Williams was a bust as well. Gabriel was ok to get us through nothing special about him either that’s why he didn’t go to the draft. I can tell when we got something special in Hawkins JR, don’t forget all the starting receivers are injured

If Jackson Arnold could have already transferred, he would have. He's only still enrolled at OU because dropping out means he can't enter the portal.

Wide Receiver's, Oline, Injuries, coaching excuses excuses. Hawkins has had the exact players in front of him and he performs. Arnold cannot handle the pressure and makes terrible in game decisions. Yes, they have problems in those areas but that don't stop Hawkins from being a WINNER. Also, 3 turnovers in a game are not "just concerning" that's a dam issue.

This guy obviously just looked at box scores and didn’t actually do any detailed research. Yes Lebby left but his right hand man Joe Jon Finley was retained at OU and the same RPO offensive scheme was kept for Arnold. No mention that OUs top 5 receivers are hurt this year or that the OL was decimated by injuries to the point that the center the first 3 games was a 4th string freshman. Mixture of bad luck and bad decision making on the field for Arnold is why Hawkins is playing now. Wouldn’t fault Arnold for transferring to Miss St or elsewhere. He’ll still find success.

Seth Littrell was at OU in 2023 as an assistant OC with Arnold and Lebby. So that transition wasn’t as harsh as it’s made to be in this video just saying

What happened was in the off-season the HC threw to much at him for the young QB to grasp The pressure of moving to the Sec made the coach over prepare and just confused him Jackson is going to need a total re set to get his mind right and confedince back

Littrell was hired specifically to continue Lebby's veer and shoot rpo system for JA bc he has oc xp and was an analyst on OUr staff so he knew Lebby's system well. Littrell runs an air raid scheme though. Thats why we ditched rpo for Auburn AFTER all of ja's mistakes. No ja at qb = no Lebby veer and shoot and not a single rpo play called against Auburn.

My guess and call me crazy is that hes a sleeper agent and paid off to tank it and then take a payday into another school and still make thw NFL

People forget he played the second half of last seasons byu game because of Gabriel’s concussion. He was terrible in that game too.
