This is THEE best video I have found... so helpful. I wish I had found you earlier. I'm a few days out from my trip. Thank you so much for the helpful packing tips.
I just got back from a 5 day ski trip out West...my first ever! I waaaay over packed! lol This will be a great reference for me moving forward, thank you!!
Great tips! We are a ski family too but usually drive to our mountain. Next week is our first flying-to-mountain trip, and I'm freaking out a bit about ALL OUR STUFF (5 sets of skis/boots/etc plus clothing). Like, are we checking 17 bags? Will they fit in the rental car (SUV) from airport to mountain?? Yeesh. I do find I can usually get away with baselayer plus a sweater and jeans for apres-ski, so you don't have to pack a lot of extra stuff (plus so tired by then I don't care too much). Enjoy the slopes!
This is great! Would you be able to add a link to the lighter black Half Days jacket that you mention in the Add Ons section? I don’t see that in the list of links. Thanks!
How do you transition to your cute moon boots and sunnies for apres ski? Do you go back to your place to change or stash your more comfortable clothes at the base? I always want my comfy boots but suffer in my ski boots, lol.
I stash everything in my ski bag at the base. We have these Transpack ski boot & helmet bags. They're not sexy, but they store EVERYTHING and we've been flying with them, too: shopstyle.it/l/bRSP6?pdata=yt
Assuming you might rent skis at your destination (to avoid the hassle) would you still bring your ski boots? Love my boots but not sure it’s worth it to pack them!
How many sets of base layers do you bring for a week of skiing? Like, mine get so sweaty that I can't imagine rewearing them after one day without doing laundry, but maybe they really do de-stink and dry out?
If I'm going for only a weekend - like literally 2 days of skiing - I can get by with one set. Other than that, I almost always bring two. And if the weather is supposed to be really varied (bitter cold one day, warm another day) I'll make sure the two are of different weights. My rule of thumb is 2 days of skiing with one baselayer. So if we're going for a full week (like more than 4 days of skiing) AND there was no laundry...then I guess I'd bring three.
@@Themomedit Thank you! And do you alternate the second-day wearing, to let them dry out, or just wear them 2-days in a row? Sincerely, someone who has never skiied more than 1.5 days in a row and can't fathom how your body can keep up, haha.
