There is so many more things we can add to this video. The outfit is a marching band outfit from "tetopettenson" which is the song le Beau Tambour. She's a French drummer girl. Crypton made a teto vocaloid in 2017 however it lost what made her special and they never released it. The character design was completely random. It was a shitpost thread on 2chan in which the attributes were selected by a dice roll. She's my favorite little drunk screwball. Her biggest new original song "babel" has so much deeper meaning than appears on the surface. "The upside-down tower of the future Resembles you"
Wow thank you so much! I admit I am more of a RU-vid-only Teto enjoyer so it was quite difficult for me to find the background info for Teto. I’m going to pin your comment because I think this is a very useful addition!
Also, Sen wasn't actually a single user, they were multiple anonymous illustrators working on her image. The name literally means "line of users". Teto was also lucky to have a unique voice among the fake vocaloids of her time (Boukaloids, as they were labeled aka pseudo-vocaloid), because UTAU was released a couple of months after April 2007, which is why on her iconic parody song Kasane Territory she says she has the "Boukaloid monopoly". She was possibly the third complete chraracter for the engine after Momone Momo, which is why the default voicebank, Momo and her, are still referred to as the "Three UTAU sisters". (Momo was released before her, but she wasn't considered a Boukaloid; she was the first user-made Utauloid).
IIRC Crypton never made Teto into a vocaloid, or ever made the attempt at it, since TwinDrill has a pretty long history of keeping the rights to Teto away from Crypton, which is why Crypton is only allowed to include Teto in Project Diva as an appearance, but isn't allowed to officially add Teto songs or use her voice. Piapro allows Teto uploads, but Crypton cannot make any official Teto merchandise. It would have likely ended up, legally, bad for Crypton to create a Teto Vocaloid VB, considering TwinDrill never would have allowed them. You may be thinking of the multiple attempts by fans to compile Teto's UTAU voice samples into a Vocaloid-compatible VB, which has happened, and usually it ends up not very good, hence why you rarely see people distribute them.
If you don't mind me posting a link here is a short sample they released of teto vocaloid at 2:45. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DlAytmc1IhA.html Crypton assisted in a small part with teto's release. This was all detailed in the j-cast interview and the AHS livestream which contains a lot more information.
i don't agree that Teto is a blank slate, she's always had her own personality contrary to how vocaloids are. She's often described as a tsundere and even has her own catchphrase, "you really are stupid aren't you?" pulled from doraemon. most UTAUloids are like this too considering that they are basically people's OCs.
Hmm, I slightly disagree with this. While yes, a lot of utaus, Teto included, do have a little bit of a set personality, you're pretty much free to ignore it, or put your own spin on it. Afterall, they're still an instrument of sorts for songs, you can still make them sing anything and essentially give them any personality you like. So in a way, Teto *can* be a blank slate, if you so desire.
Yes, I was mostly refering to Vipperloids and other popular utaus such as Defoko or Momo here. Obviously, utaus that are more OC-like should have their personality traits respected.
@teonyahh8334 Real singers also sing songs that don't necessarily fit their personality. The UTAU itself is just a voice, but the avatar given to it has character.
I love how she was made for an april fools joke for Miku fans and then now be an actual vocaloid after 15 years for an april fools 'joke' for Teto fans
not really since synthV isnt the same as vocaloid! same concept of voicebanks being represented by characters but not the same company or technology. but obviously while she isnt a vocaloid im still incredibly happy to see her get an update like this, especially with how GOOD synthV voicebanks sound
Someone made a cover of Kasane Territory using SynthV Teto but they tweaked the lyrics to show how she's so happy to be a "real idol" now and when she said "dreams really do come true!" let me tell you I lost it
Teto really is an inspiration model. Even though she doesn't exist her dream was always to be as good as a vocaloid, so she tried her best. Became the best Utau, but never got even a glimse of light from hatsune miku. People often get confused thinking she is a vocaloid, she really tried her best. But now with her hard work and her fans support, she not only get to miku, but surpassed her in terms of quality becoming a synth V. Truly one of the best "Vocaloid" stories of all time!
Have been a fan of Teto for well over a decade. Loving the slow but steady growth of Twin Drill to become something more than a group of enthusiasts. A big surprise to see this in the works.
A little correction. Akita Neru and Yowane Haku are NOT utau characters. They're what you would call a fanloid. Fanloids are basically fanmade derivatives of existing Vocaloids. Neru's design, for example, is clearly based off of Miku, and her voice is also either pitched up Miku, or pitched down Rin. So yes, although both utaus and Fanloids are fanmade in nature, they aren't the same, as utau characters have their own, original voicebanks, while fanloids don't, their voices are archived by messing around with parameters of a pre-existing Vocaloid voicebank. Other than that, nice video!
UTAUs aren’t “fanmade.” They are their own official and original vocal synths. The ones you are talking about are VIPPALOIDs. They are UTAUs that were initially created as fake fanmade VOCALOIDs that were based on Crypton’s Character Vocal series. Kasane Teto, Yokune Ruko, Namine Ritsu, and Sukone Tei are all VIPPALOIDs.
I think you're missing what I'm trying to say. I didn't mean to use the word "fanmade" as something to diminish that they're original and official in their own right. What I meant by that that they aren't commercial vocal synths like Vocaloids and other vocal synths you'd pay for, and that they're often made by just random people on the internet who are part of the utau/vocal synth community, not companies. I do admit "fanmade" was probably not the best word to use, but really what I meant was that just anyone can make an utau, just like anyone can make a fanloid, except you know, fanloids are derivative of off pre-existing chararacters/VBs.
@@teomeows My bad, I thought you meant fanmade as in they’re derived from VOCALOIDs like how fanloids are, because that’s usually how that word is used for vocal synths. And it’s also somewhat of a misconception that all UTAUs are based on the CV VOCALOIDs such as the VIPPALOIDs, Defoko, and Momo because they happen to be the most popular UTAUs.
Her dream in Kasane Territory came true! It just goes to show how beloved she has been since her comical debut all those years ago. Her popularity has remained persistent and I really look forward to what new music (and what great remakes) her voice will be used in. I think she retained her popularity because her voice is so unique. It has a nasaly/stuffy sort of quality to it that is very endearing, and I am glad I can still somewhat hear that in her update when she isn't extending her voice in great upsweeps or downsweeps.
Fun fact, Kasane Teto is the 3rd UTAU that received a SynthV voicebank. The first one was Yamine Renri and the second one was Xia Yu Yao, but these two didn't got so much recognition as Teto did in SynthV. I'm happy for Teto, but sad for Xia Yu Yao.
Tecnically yes, she is the 3rd.... but if you go to the synthV wiki, in the providers section you will find that there are in total 11 utau voicers in synthV voicebanks (counting teto, renri and xia yu yao)... it's just a funny fact... (also, I think Renri was more of a Port than an actual synth V voicebank)
6:14 actually that's not a belt, that's her tail 🤣 It's written in the wiki, even tho only a few people took advantage of this specific design trait throughout the years
@@elk45 The Joke Character stopped being a Joke Character 1 day after AFD. Also the Fandom didn't go ham with the lore. This is *actually* TWINDRILL approved Lore for her. The Wiki-Page is literally moderated by a Member of Team TWINDRILL, the official copyright owners of Kasane Teto. This 'Joke Character' has actual Staff that work on her Brand.
Great analysis! I agree that navy blue uniform would suit her better, still love both new and old designs! Teto was always one of my favorites, i always saw her as kind of an underdog and seeing her rise to a new heights makes me feel proud for her!
Very excited for this! Teto is such an interesting part of vocaloid culture to me that I wasn’t around to see the beginning of. I’m excited to learn more about her.
After I made this video I realized that her outfit has been interpreted into grey and black as well, so it was a minor oversight 😅 glad you like the color of the redesign!
i think its really neat she had "military attire" as her favorite clothes on her wiki (despite not actually wearing them) and this finally got utilized in the actual design 🥺
Wow, amazing video! Just one thing to note. The "other Utau" in the video mentioned are not Utau. The yellow character (Akita Neru) and the grey character (Yowane Haku) are actually just Rin Kagamine and Hatsune Miku, if you pitch them down. Some people pitch them up, but it's a preference. Either way, it still counts. Pitch down is more popular though. Other than that, as an Vocaloid/Utau vet, again, amazing video!
@@HanakoSeishin It depends on the user. Some use a pitched-altered Rin for Neru, whilst others use Miku. I believe the Miku version is more popular, which makes sense, as Neru was made with Miku in mind, not Rin.
As an only occasional viewer of vocaloid stuff, I never knew that Teto wasn't official. That's pretty interesting how she grew into being her own thing.
I love UTAU so much, and as the first UTAU Teto has a special place in my heart! the idea of UTAU, freeware singing synthesis that anyone can make voicebank for, is amazing for creativity. I feel like a whole video could be made on the history of UTAU and the trends in the community haha seeing Teto's voice evolve from the very first CV UTAU iteration, to her VCV voicebanks, and now the quality of SynthV... the SynthV AI also really captures her unique sound, I love how it's still immediately recognisable as Teto. vocaloid as a voice synthesis engine really changes the voices as compared to the original voice provider, so it's not surprising that a vocaloid VB for Teto wouldn't capture her Teto-ness as for Teto's redesign, the grey fits my aesthetic preferences a bit more than the navy haha I love how the new interpretation adds themes unique to Teto, and she's no longer just directly inspired from Miku thanks for making this video Yam! it allowed me to ramble this much xD
I've never gotten too deep into vocaloid stuff but I've always really liked Teto's voice and design the most. I noticed the synth version emerge and was confused and am glad I got to learn about what happened with that, along with a lot more I didn't know before. Thanks for making this video!
So sorry if I got some details of the background section incorrect, I got some conflicting information depending on where I looked and I don't think this was well documented in English. The character design analysis is more my area of expertise!
Very good video!! Her new dewign is a big W! And im even so glad that people mash up utau and synth v voicebank together, everything bout her release is great
Kasane Teto really rose from just being a UTAU voicebank into a premium-grade voicebank designed for SynthesizerV program and it is a deserving treatment given her popularity in the community ever since the earlier days of Hatsune Miku or VOCALOID in general. Redesigning the face of the voicebank is a common thing and it should not come as a surprise as it is a standard to show that it's an upgrade or a different product just like how Miku grew so much hair (assuming it isn't a wig) in her NT design. The designer for her SynthV appearance, Sakauchi Waka, had really carefully thought out the outcome of her design and borrowed some inspirations referencing to her past design and few songs. There are some slight corrections here but the other comments had cleared it already so no need to repeat it. In any case, this is an interesting video worth learning about Kasane Teto!
I love the way you analysed her design and characters designs in general, it was really interesting and we can see that it is something that you really enjoy doing ! I really didn't understood what was happening with Teto and felt kind of lost but you explained it simply and clearly so now I do ! Thank you so much
Ive seen Teto since 2010 when i was 10, and honestly, seeing her fully embraced and hearing how beautiful her voice bank is now makes me cry at literary almost every song i hear with the new voice bank.
don't have much to contribute but I'm glad you made such a comprehensive vid abt what is undoubtedly the most iconic moment in non-vocaloid vsynth history
Thank you for commenting anyways, I appreciate each and every comment! I never thought id see Teto become official and surpass most voice banks in quality!
Solaria isn't Synth V's mascot. if anything Eleanor Forte would be as she was the first bank released for the software. Solaria is easily the most popular voice bank on Synth V due to her marketing being heavily tied to prominent Vocaloid artists & producers leading up to her release, but she was not released by Dreamtonics.
Yes, kind of, but also no kind of It's like how Hatsune Miku is widely considered the vocaloid mascot and most popular, despite both LEON and LOLA being the first vocaloids and KAITO and MEIKO being the first Cryptonloids released during the same wave
A few things to add: - The very first bits of 'Voice' released were heavily edited bits produced with either Hatsune Miku or 'Defoko' the Default Voice of the UTAU Software (UTAU was publically released at a later date, but members of the VIPPERs had access to an early build.) Later Oyamano Mayo would join to lend her voice, but for the joke she was credited as Nobuyo Ōyama, the Voice of Doraemon (thus the many Fanart of Teto as Doraemon) When Teto was officially made into an UTAUloid, she returned to produce the Voicebank again and even became one of the main artists for Teto. - UTAUloids aren't technically 'Fanmade Voicebanks'. UTAU started out as a Hobby Project of it's creator and they started developing the software before the VOCALOID Software started development. But since VOCALOID was created by a bigger company and UTAU was a niche project of a single person, obviously UTAU was less known. So UTAUloids are as much 'Fanmade Voicebanks' as your Skyrim Character is a Fanmade Character. Yes most of them came to UTAU due to Teto and being Vocaloid Fans. However UTAU is an independant Program that would exist even if VOCALOID never was made, it would just be way less popular. - Teto was produced as the Fake 3rd Vocaloid. The joke wasn't just a 'Spoof Vocaloid', the intend was an AFD Joke which was that Kasane Teto was the new VOCALOID with the number 03. It just so happened that the early teasers for Megurine Luka fell around AFD so the VIPPERs decided to take that chance. - Her Gender being Chimera is actually a joke within the UTAU Fanbase as Teto's gender was never truly given at the start therefore people said her Gender is Chimera. It's actually her Race that is Chimera because UTAUloids are, within the Fanbase, are not considered Androids at all. They're a wide variety of creatures both human, robot and even mythical creatures. Teto is a Chimera, in her case she's a half-human, half-dragon. Due to being a Chimera she's 31 years old in Chimera years, which translates to 15.5 in Human years. This simply means she ages only half as fast as a human would due to her Chimera-lineage. Her Lore in that regard is confusing but the official consensus is that while she's technically 31 years old, but for all sense and purposes she's 15(.5) so she's still a Teen. - TWINDRILL, the group that manages Teto has said that they made sure to retain full rights to Teto, The Concerts and the Avatar in the Project Diva games are a contract between the relevant parties and TWINDRILL that either side can terminate at any point which would result in Teto not being featured in Concerts anymore and the Avatar to be removed from sale. In this way, TWINDRILL still calls the shots. It also helped immensely that the Company behind Synth V AI has experience with Voice Synthesizers both with their own product as well as VOCALOID Voicebanks such as Yuzuki Yukari, Nekomura Iroha, SF-A2 Miki, etc. - Synth V hasn't 'aquired' Teto. From my understanding it's a Contract similiar to the one with SEGA and Project Diva. Teto is there, the Voicebank is produced by AHS and is sold by AHS. However Teto STILL belongs to TWINDRILL properly and they can, at any time, terminate the contract and cease working with AHS. Proof of that is that the Livestream where Teto was announced to be getting the Synth V AI Voicebank, also mentioned that her UTAU-Voicebank will recieve updates for the forseeable Future as well. Therefore Teto is now a Synth V AI Voicebank BUT still remains an UTAUloid. - Teto's Uniform was only slightly intended to mirror the Miku-Meta. It's actually a Feminine Military Uniform. So there wasn't really a change in what her Outfit is... It's still a Military Uniform :) - Teto has a LOT of characterization from official sources. TWINDRILL did release a lot of Lore for Teto if you're able to find it, as the stuff tends to disappear and the dude that was put in charge of her Wiki Article has been inactive for long, so new things weren't really added after the VOCALOID and UTAU craze slowly died down. IMHO UTAUloids have way more personality than ANY Vocaloid will ever have. To me Teto has been Official since she became an UTAUloid and grew out of the BS that she needed to become a VOCALOID. Her journey of AFD Joke to a beloved Character that is 'friends' with the VOCALOIDs but has her own Group is way more important to me than her becoming a 'commercial voicebank' I've alway taken her seriously, especially after UTAU was updated so much, it could actually sound BETTER than VOCALOID3 at the time. Personally i find it very disrespectful to her to brand her as a "Joke character" and "Spoof" just because she wasn't a Commercial Voicebank and her voicebank has been rough around the edges.
Thank you for educating me while i expand my horizons into different territories! I actually mostly make videos on VTubers but I figured I would change things up this month because I would like to expand my horizons on what character designs I talk about! I have been a casual vocaloid enjoyer since the 2010s but I was solely enjoying Vocaloid and UTAU music on RU-vid and in the Project Diva/Project Sekai video games. I appreciate you taking the time to add your insight!
TwinDrill's association with AHSoft/Dreamtronics is a lot deeper than the surface-level contracts with Crypton. It's unlikely either would terminate since it gets a new SynthV product out there, and TwinDrill earns money they can funnel towards more Teto-related events, like merchandise or actual events. And as a side note, because this is often misunderstood -- Teto, officially, is 31 years old, this is the "official stance" of TwinDrill (although to be clear, like any other loid, stats are malleable, and arbitrary from producer to producer, so any interpretation of Teto's age is equally valid, but I'm strictly talking in an official sense.) TwinDrill doesn't ever make any acknowledgement of "chimera years" or the idea that 1 human year is .5 chimera years. It's a mostly western fanbase idea that, from my best guess, sprung from Teto Territory, as the most viewed re-upload of Teto Territory on RU-vid is 13 years old, and has English subtitles (Although it is worth pointing out -- many of the subtitles in this video are not translated very well, which is why also western fans incorrectly cite chimera years as 1 chimera year as equal to .5 human years; I.E. 31 chimera years = 15.5 human years, when the original Japanese lyrics actually say the exact opposite, 1 human year = .5 chimera years; I.E 31 in human years is 15.5 in chimera years. )
@@Dedprotectr Her age is actually debatable. While many people point out the mistranslation, there was a time early on (2008-2009) where her UTAU-Wiki page was made read-only with the only person allowed to edit it being a representative of TWIN-DRILL. The Page at that point actually did read "31 (15.5 in human years)" So it was reasonable to assume that it's TWIN-DRILL approved. They have however since taken a more 'distant' stance on the age, simply saying that she is indeed 31, but her 'human age' is up to anyone to decide.
@@MikayaAkyo I was really only thinking about their *current* stance at the time. On a realistic note, theres very little incentive to marketing a voicebank if you attach fixed stats to it, since it could potentially be percieved as a creative limitation. (I.E. if CFM was currently pitching Rin and Len as brother and sister, like at launch, producers looking for a male-female voice for romantic songs would probably skip over Rin/Len, losing potential sales for CFM.) Twindrill follows suit with this sort of logic, making a voice/character as versitile as possible, by stepping back. And saying "this is what we think about Teto from an official perspective, but you should change this how you see fit". Which, probably, is why they dropped mention of human years -- to allow artists more space. That being said, technically one can make a song or art or whatever where teto is 16 feet tall, weighs 3000 pounds, and hates french bread, and it would be just as valid as any other interpretation.
I got into Vocaloid in middle school, and I think it played a major part in me getting into vtubers when COVID-19 isolation started. Fast-forward to the last few months and my excitement over Teto's birthday and her getting an SV AI bank led to me going back into to the rabbit hole after a year. So I was very happy to see you make this video 😄
@@YamAlbat Coming back after watching the video, you did really well! And your 2.0 design is looking good so far too. I think there's a huge amount of crossover between the vocal synth and vtuber communities. To look at Hololive for example, I happened to notice earlier today that three of Sora's 5 most viewed videos are vocaloid covers (the titles are in Japanese so it could be more than that and I wouldn't know 😆), and the same goes for a number of other Hololive members. I know that the vocaloid producers PinocchioP, Niki, and Deco27 have produced original songs for holomems, and they even did the Holo27 concert.
Thank you for sharing the magic of Teto, I've immediately became a fan, I never was big into vocaloids, so I only saw her rarely but I can't believe she had this glow up and I never even noticed!!!
I got pretty emotional when I first heard Teto's new voice tbh I've personally identified a lot with her character not really being part of the official Vocaloid members. I've always felt like I never fit anyones mold and seeing her break out with this new voice blew my mind. Takes me back to how I felt watching her sing about one day being known as her own idol and to see it come true was very heart warming. I hope they continue to bring out other idols that aren't taken in by Vocaloid. I can't wait to see what other great things they'll do in the future!
Yeah but now she's been rebirthed into another vocal synthesizer that made her sound amazing. Her being Vocaloid would of been great but seeing her become this iconic as her own idol just melts my heart ;u;@@karayura10
It's incredible to see, that when you make things as a joke, in the future, it'll grow into something that'll have a TON of support and be famous, I've seen the same thing to other characters too, like a long time ago people make characters just something simple and not expecting to see that they are gonna become a big HIT. For example, I've planned my OCs as jokes because I thought they were just characters to use for my entertainment. But now, it's astonishing to see that they have their own backstories and even art I've created of them! I mainly use them in roleplay, it's not so much progress, but I'll get there!. To this day, I really support Teto for making it this far. If you create something small and simple, make it big!
Thank you for sharing, it truly is amazing how far creativity and community can take us! I have a similar situation with my own OCs, they started as jokes and then slowly became apart of me, like Yam, my VTuber character! I did not expect to be this far with a silly little bat VTuber~
While a lot of UTAU Teto's songs are about not worrying and having fun, a lot of Synth V's Teto's songs are more philosophical. The common theme is fakeness, like the mask you wear to fit into society, when really you just want to have fun. For example, in Medicine by Sasuke Haraguchi, Teto is a fake doctor practicing medicine. Teto always tries to be upbeat despite the struggles in life, but sometimes those struggles are too much for one person. I've never seen teto in a romantic role with a bf or gf, though she usually is depicted as friends with Miku.
I’ve loved Teto for a long time now, and though I loved that she got a synthV voice bank, for a while I couldn’t really see her as actual Teto. It took me a long time to finally get used to and enjoy her, and I’m still in the process of hearing her voice and being like “yeah that’s Teto”. I still love Teto though, no matter what form she’s in
Awesome video, and I’m learning so much from the comments, thank you so much everyone! I always loved Teto and her voice, she was always an official vocaloid for me
the other day I was watching an Idol (by YOASOBI) cover from Teto, she sounded more human than usual but I thought nothing of it since it was probably the times changing, I even searched her name and saw her new costume and was like "have I ever seen that before?" But now that I watched this video, I'm truly proud of how far Teto has come, can't wait to listen to more songs sung by her!
I always hated how Teto looked because how much it resembled a MIKU copycat. It’s amazing how she looks now as an individual and her design is buetiful
great analysis! as for the design, its not everyday that we can say: its better than the original! but is, without an doubt! and while making her an real voice bank kinda off betray her identity, i loved the new identity, and this character development is canon in my book.
It's really cool to see a design breakdown of Teto (I love you teto!!!!!!! I love you so much!!!!!!!!) I think you did a really good job analyzing the outfits. Despite Teto's UTAU outfit, which is still always going to be my favorite, being essentially a mirror to Miku's, it was usually regarded as a "military"-ish outfit. With the re-design they felt it was important to retain this -- so it did become more on-the-nose. I think the most notable changes though are in her voice, as her UTAU voice is *incredibly* powerful, and can easily overpower other singers, or can be heard during intense instrumentals. While the SynthV voice still has power, it is much less than the UTAU voice. As such, there's different use cases for each voice; a more typical song, which you usually would hear from a vocaloid producer, or songs in English or any other language that isn't Japanese works really well with SynthV Teto. While a more traditional "Teto Song" works exceptionally well with the UTAU voice. Common examples of a traditional Teto song would be like "A sardine grows from the soil" or any Hario song ("UFO", "Typewriter", "Peach-Meat Pie"). A more recent example (I definitely recommend checking this one out) is "退廃的人生讃歌" or "Hymn to a Decadent Life" : Incredible song, feels like a classic teto song, but released after SynthV Teto.
IDK how much it related. But her name Teto spell close to Teito that mean “Imperial Capital” in japan reference to WW2. It may the reason why they choose military uniform for Teto.
As someone new to synthV and have been mostly out of the loop for vocaloid and utau stuff, thank you for making this video. This was the kind of info I was looking for.
But besides the first comment i placed teto truly deserves to be a real idol now, comes to show that dreams do indeed come true as she wanted to be a "real" vocaloid. I love teto so much and as i said i do feel bad for clinging onto her first design and i wish they couldve kept more of her colours, they could've made the gray into her navy blue for example but thats just me complaining for a bit, all in all teto will always remain in my heart in any shape or form, aslong as she has her cute voice and dangerous twin drills il be satisfied plenty >:D
One thing about the new design: Teto’s new outfit was designed after a fan-made dress for Sukone Tei years ago. The two of them looks very similar with their gray soldier uniforms. However, of course, there are a few Teto-touchs
This may not be obvious unless you use the Synthesizer V software, but I like how Teto SV takes the light gray directly from the SynthV logo (and UI color palette) itself
I think her new outfit is also a callback to an early design she had where she wore a light grey military uniform, it even had a similar black belt across the top.
Not really a subject I'm familiar with but an interesting video nonetheless 😄 I agree with preserving her original colour palette although maybe it was intentional to distinguish it from the original model.
This is a good video but a few corrections(I'm sure you've gotten a few...) Vocaloids are almost never their characters. It's mostly the reverse to what you said, the characters accompany the Voicebank, they're only there to make the box pretty. (This is not a well known thing but I feel like it's important) Also the company that owns Synth V is Dreamtonics. Additionally, it would rather be Twindrill, who would be reaching out to Dreamtonics/Kanru Hua to add Teto not the other way around. Also Haku and Neru are only Fanloids and are meant to only be edits of Vocaloid Voicebanks. Overall pretty good video, it's nice to see people make videos like this!
I really do like her new design and am happy for her (a funny thing to say concidering she's. not real lmao) but I do still prefer her utau voice, like objectively I do hear the new one's better but for me personally I still prefer it, it's had over a decade to grow on me after all lmao
her UTAU vb makes great backing vocals for her SynthV covers! but yea i feel like synthv teto needs a lil bit more navy in her design, pure grey keeps attention off her outfit.
Miku is part of Crypton's "Character Voice" series, signified by the tattoo on her shoulder. With Miku being the first (01) followed by Len/Rin 02 and Luka 03. There were rumors of a 4th Character Voice, but for reasons I don't know it was never finished. In steps Teto as Character Voice 04, revealing her full tattoo as 04/01, APRIL FOOLS!
I find it crazy to see how Kasane Teto! that I first discover her on youtube one from Teto territory and Teto FUKKIRETA but damn it is insane to see she was originally just a April fools joke! to being a real Diva from seeing that April fools joke of her! :O like damn! I think it is insane from discovering how Kasane Teto was originally a April fools joke Even from the times I first discover Teto on youtube during the 2010s.
I kinda feel bad for liking old teto A LOT MORE, it just feels so "teto" and the synth V teto seems like a whole different character to me but i am fully aware that theyre the same person, the voicees are also a major upgrade but she sounds more human than vocaloid now
