this seeming book change can even be interpreted as actually canon, in that, nobody was ever recorded to have taken her seriously, not even the maesters. only the gods (and the viewers) know.

I hope they didn't entirely omit Maelor, because his existence is not insignificant. I had assumed he was in the background of some past scenes, but no one else seems to have seen him (yet). The only reason I could see for not including him would be if they felt that his subplot in the books would have been too disconnected from the rest of the narrative to maintain momentum, as Rickon's arguably was in GOT.

Worked really well for me. Honestly, it was the book version that didn't hit as hard for me. Because of the way it's written, I have absolutely no emotional attachment to anyone in it. It's super interesting, and I love the lore, but when it came to that part, I was like, "That's messed up," shrugged, and moved on. I'm not knocking your opinion. That's just me. Sorry you didn't get what you wanted out of it.

I wouldn't hate that. Not knowing how fictitiously accurate the maester's narrative in the book is, your proposal would represent only a minor deviation and reinforce the parallel.

That’s How compared to richer people in bravos, the poor can afford their services. They just take what’s valuable to that poor person. So in the Targaryens case they would want a dragon egg, a dragon, or if you a second son with 4 sons and they are all dragon riders they shall ask you to turn over a dragon with said son as the rider to serve 😂😂. I know it’s a wild thought but you are right. They want what you hold dear. What people don’t want to part with. They will not ask Targaryens to pay or peoples prices or 100,000 golden dragons. That currency is of no value in bravos they would have to melt the gold coins to make it of value or use it for missions when operating In westoros like modern day special ops. See they told Arya that coin is not for buying horses in the books and show. They live and believe in customs and traditions and loaded with wealth. So that rare coin is access to the guild and for people in bravos to help you for free and ship captains to give you free passage in first class aka the captains quarters. As a book reader you made things clearer to me that I missed. But when I think back that’s what they do. So from Targaryens they will extra the dragon price.
