Not sure if anyone can relate but when I sit watching these videos I pause it so far through and think about my life and where I've come from and where I am and what I'd say about myself if I was ever in interviews like this. Its actually motivational in a mental way.

When a young lad finds no love in the areas they crave, but they then find it in the areas they know they shouldn’t be in... is it really even a question why lads turn to crime etc? Not talking about all, but a good majority of people involved in crime deserved a bit of love at the right time and never got it, got the utmost respect for you Ben.. got a great head on your shoulders.

Everybody's got a story to tell. No man can truly judge another without walking in their shoes. This kid was on the wrong path, there's no doubting he was. With some inspiration, call it divine if you will, he was given opportunity to be shown the right way, to understand the reality of it all. I truly believe that hardship is a necessity in creating true strength and conviction. God bless this young man and all the best to James English on his journey too

Definitely agree with what both of you said about schools. I spent most of my time sat in the corridor because I was always getting sent out of class etc. Boredom sends your mind elsewhere.

These types of interviews should be on intercity school circulations once a month for 13 to 16 years olds to catch the youth and warn them early as to what life has to offer and right roads to take... hope your success keeps snowballing James

Every time i listen to these stories i see aspects of my own life spoken in their words. These podcasts are not just entertaining, I feel that they're necessary to our progress as individuals and as a society. If we all wake up and look within ourselves we will find the answers to life. It's the most painful thing to do, but it's these painful things that lead us to true freedom and eventually to bliss. Being in the moment, having no "thing" going on inside our "mind" is to me, one of the most beautiful things ever. I began my spiritual journey whilst in prison. When I look at it it's like I was removed from society for two reasons, one was punishment, the other was to intropsect inside a cell. i feel that it was a blessing in disguise because some people i knew then are dead due to drug overdoses, violence etc, but I was taken out of that madness and put into another kind of madness that ended up saving me and waking me up.

Great podcast James, you should try get the boxer Dave Allen on, I think that would be interesting, I'd love to know his full story

Its not paul im on my partners account. From a 27 year old womans point of view with 2 children i myself as a mother are a reflection as what i never got as a kid praise and ecouragement and that is so true kids need that to grow and be the people they are ive suffered a great deal of trauma lost both my parents at a young age. Sometimes people are put in positions where life has been unfair to them me being a prime example and its how we come out of that i will never be the one to pass judgement because ive had it myself. Great work james and welldone ben for wanting to be change in this world a postive one.

As someone who works in high secure forensic mental health. I totally understand and respect his story and strength of character in working on himself and getting out and onto better things. Believe me. S.37 is extremely difficult to overcome. He did that.

Very interesting this one. He went in with street knowledge and violence as a cat a, then faced daily abuse and battery on both sides it really is amazing the good path hes now on and I hope it continues for him hes a good person and seems to be surrounded by positivity

Omg sat stoned, n I've gone down a Ben Hatchett rabbithole! Theres summat about this lad. As someone who also went to jail when I was young then drugs n alcohol, hes really inspiring me to keep up with my alcohol detox and bite the bullet and pursue my dreams of busking! Hes intriguing and very motivational, and I pray he keeps his nose clean. He deserves his redemption.. 💙

56 now spent time in jail seen crazy stuff done crazy stuff .. penny dropped in high down prison hearing doors crashing windows warriors screaming 😱 just sat on the bed and thought is this all I am, God bless you Ben 🙏 when I came out went rehabs ended up working in rehabs helping others became qualified key worker 👍 my health bad now however my mind is able .... keep on the right track ben you are a inspiration and a roll model for the youth . Blessings younge brother 🙏 no more liquid koshes for you 🙏
