Daniel, 1. Buses to Kandy you can find at any time. Normally within 30 mins several buses would go there and several other route buses would pass the Kandy city. If you're taking a bus to Kandy during the day time, No need to worry about early booking, there's plenty of buses. You only need to worry about trains. 2. Train is more fun. Since many groups of people are going there as trips. You can join a singing group, when you get bored with the view 3. If you've gone for the Rs 190 ticket, you'd have to fight for a seat as well as you will not see too much of view. With the Rs 500 one you get better view as well as a booked seat.

From Colombo airport possible get a bus to Kandy?or firstly have to go Negombo ??anyway its freaky that haven't directly buses .

I love your videos. The difference between the 190 and 500 rupee ticket SEEMS TO BE that 190 doesn't buy you a guaranteed seat. You may have to stand all the way if there is no seat. while 500 is not only a confirmed seat but one in 1st class and two windows.

You have the energy to walk a lot. No problem with your feet, no pain. Still going strong. You must have been living a quite healthy life, vegetarian? How old are you now? I enjoyed every story about you, your travel experiences, make me so jealous. So happy for you.

I dont feel that all the people there are so friendly. Many have a rare attitute to talk to a customer.

Because they don't speak English really well. And all the people he spoke to were either security guards, bus time keepers except the one in railway ticket counter. The counter guys are always like that and they can be rude sometimes because they are always busy. but most of them are helpful. there is a dedicated tourist information center in the railway station where you can get all information about railway journey to any part of the country.
