Daily walkthrough at Auto Parts City starts with a blown up Chevy Cruze and ends with CASH ! #chevycruze #toyotasienna #hondacivic #dailywalkthough #autorecycling #junkyard #autopartscity Auto Parts City Gurnee Illinois July 2024
One of my friend’s dad owns a junkyard, as a kid I hung out there sometimes. We would find some really cool stuff in those vehicles! But the best part was the crushing. I could watch them crush cars for hours. Always found at least a dollar worth of change in almost every single vehicle!
@@jayexley8161 yeah one of the neighbours had that same complaint. They blew the head gasket during the middle of summer. Car wasn't worth fixing though, as the engine seized.
We used to go to junk yard in the mid eighties broke with no gas money and look for change under rear seats. Always found enough for 1/2 tank of gas and random parts we needed for my friends 79 mustang.
Always look inside the owners manual before you junk the cars. Some of us boomers hide a ten or twenty in it for emergencies. Also under the floor mats…
Those Chevy Cruze is just a rebadged Daewoo J300 Lecetti that's assembled in Lordstown Ohio instead of Korea, with a crap transmission as well, Jatco CVT ,in Korea its a ZF
This particular cruise came mated with either a 6sp manual or a 6sp auto transmission. Both made by Allison. Both junky transmissions. Like most chevys. Pure junk. Waste of money.
@@karlstevens2483my '14 Cruze I bought brand new was easily one of the best most reliable cars I've owned. It was the LS not the LT, so it had the NA 1.8 ecotec. No issues, it got repoed. I never even saw the check engine light in 47,000 miles.
@@smellsuperb1 lucky. my 1.8l 2016a was an awful awful awful car and to be fair I made a Saturn vue from 2002 last 14 years and 330,000 miles.. I know what a good car is. The cruze just ain’t one bud sorry. You’re lucky. But there’s a reason why every dealership has a handful of these shit boxes yet you rarely see people still driving them. Because everybody who would buy a Chevy already owned one and lost their ass on one. Won’t buy another one.
And just don’t buy a Chevy. They’re junk. I had a 2016 cruise and changed the oil and trans fluid regularly according to manufacturer. It was an awful car. Barely lasted 3 years. Not to mention right before my cruze was my malibu and it was just as bad lol but at least the Malibu lasted 4! In 2018 I got myself into Subaru and my brand new 2018 crosstrek now has 100,000 miles and I didn’t replace a single thing on it. A SINGLE THING. Subarus are much much much much much better cars and it don’t even come close my guy. Chevys are complete ass on purpose because they know people will buy them regardless. Brainwashed
@karlstevens2483 I've had plenty of cars from different manufacturers, I've had nothing but good experiences with GM products. I cannot say the same thing about Turdota.
@@herbiehusker1889 😏 Chevy is ass you’ll realize it one day. Doesn’t matter what Chevy you buy. I suggest buying the old stuff because the new stuff is NOTHING like the old stuff is. As a matter of fact, most of this new stuff is redesigned Korean cars. Trust me. I was a Chevy boy through n through my entire life raised by Chevy loving parents BACK when they were actually good automobiles. The fact you think they’re better then Toyota’s just shows where your head is bud. They will never be where Toyota is as far as reliability. Modern Toyota’s aren’t the same as the previous generation as well but I will still trust Japanese manufacturing over any other countries for one simple reason. They have much higher quality standards. I bought a 2018 subie brand new and it’s going to last much longer then anyone of my modern post 2000s era GMs and that’s a fact. It has 100,000 miles already and drives like it’s brand new and I never even replaced anything on it yet not even suspension. This does not hold true for Japanese brands that manufacture in USA. We take pride in production of low quality vehicles here in the states. Hence why Toyota, Honda, and Subaru all took dips in quality. Because all 3 companies increased North American manufacturing. If you want something that’ll actually last a long time, Buy anything Japanese that’s still made in Japan. Take it from a quality engineer. Japans quality isn’t trumped by any other country in the entire world and that’s a fact. Has been like this for decades and decades 😂
@@autopartscity-Illinois ya there’s not much these days for 3.00 bucks what you can get maybe a coffee ??😂😂…. Pa love the videos keep up the good work!👍👍👍👍
There's only TWO reasons an old school compact XJ Cherokee should be in a junkyard: The Original engine, rebuilt at 300+k miles, is now at 600+k miles and is tired. OR: totalled in collision.❤😊
Amen. Biggest mistake of my life was buying a 2016 cruze brand new. The thing has so many problems right out the dealership it’s not even funny how many issues they manufactured on purpose into those shit boxes!
