Hello, I recently bought one of these and need to take the motor apart, do you know how to please? of can you point me in the right direction. many thanks.
@@mynx_uk I find that one issue is often that the motors have over heated and the slots for the brushes have melted - this can be mended with a fine manual drill and cutting the melted plastic away on the inside of the motor. Sometimes the wires of have come off and need to be re-soldered onto the plate which is tricky for me. I would not try to move the wheels in order to spin the motor as this can detach the copper wires. A drop of oil at both ends of the motor shaft helps as well. You can also run the motor without the gears in case you suspect a jammed/broken gear. I’m no expert, but this is how I approach the problem usually
@@randoyork-shortsandtrains9389 eek, found the problem, the comutator? i think is meant to have 3 triangular plates of copper? well two of these have pealed up and there is definitly some charring there, now need to find a new spinny bit. thankyou so much for your help.
