A really nice runner with power to spare. I have just bought a Kleinbahn (maybe Klein Modellbahn) Austrian Schlieren coach - to complete a set - it is a very high quality model. My next video will feature this and my other Austrian trains.
@@ArcadiaJunctionHobbies The torque is quite something, I'll make some heavy shunting videos with passenger trains including my two Hornby acHO coaches, they're heavy ones. The Mabuchi motor is excellent.
@@ArcadiaJunctionHobbies I've got this pitched roof wagon and another one by Lima. These wagons used to also display the lettering "Cavalli 10, Uomini 40", "10 Horses, 40 Men" for use in military trains, known as "tradotte". Which makers should I look out for, apart from Kleinbahn and Lima?
@@patricksmodels Roco make a lovely one. Marklin with brass mesh vents and Trix too. They were seen all over Europe and even ferry versions in the UK. I am planning on upgrading the Kleinbahn one in this video.
@@cruiservin0212 thanks! I'll be running more trains in the following days, I've got the layout installed so I'll stock up on video footage. I really needed playing with trains after months of modelling and servicing videos.
16:42 what an unfortunate year, what an unhappy time moment for the rail yodeling... I mean, modeling... I'm afraid this incident shall be know in the model railway history as "The Oblio Accident", as there's involved a point, so it's a pointy unlucky deed. I hope you won't get fired from your own model railway company! The tank engine purrs like a cat, it waltzes of the tracks, as an Austrian machine should do. Have a happy Sunday, Patrick, vielen dank für das Video!
@@Cristake1974 I'm rubbish as a signalman, what's more Kleinbahn locomotives are wired opposite to others makes ...so terrible Gomez Addams head on crash scenarios are plausible if the signalman isn't paying attention! 😨😨😨
@@patricksmodels I've had my "Flying Smudge-man" accident, with a tank engine, too, the more common Piko BR-80 (that two axles instead of three) - running it too fast on a curve too close to the edge of the layout. I had almost lucky it had damaged only a connecting rod... 😁
@@Cristake1974 The same happened to me with the Jouef 231c60, it was going too fast and coming out of a bend, that was badly layed, it flew off the rails and landed spectacularly on the floor, with the front bogie axles flying away upon impact with the floor tiles. Oh boy how I swore! I had to search under furniture using the brush for cleaning the radiators, but I retrieved everything. The only damage was a broken off front buffer, which I refitted and then I painted the buffer bar red. Good 1960s tough locomotive! On another occasion a derailment caused the Lima buffet car to meet the floor....🥴
