From Forests to Waters: The Elusive Gray Wolf's Wild Adventures

In the towering rain forests along the northern shores of the Pacific, scientists recently discovered a new subspecies of the gray wolf. Unlike its genetic kin anywhere else in the world, this wolf swims, fishes for salmon and roams great distances from island to inlet across both water and rough terrain.

I think the wolf discovering the microfon (and later the Zodiac) did NOT damage or destroy anything. He knows EVERYTHING in his territory - but has never in his life seen these things and so he cautiously explores the find: what is it - is it a dangerous thing - can I eat it???? That`s all he did. It was "damage" only from our point of view . . Great documentation by the way. Thank you. But please: Forget about the music! The sounds of nature would have been far more appropriate . .

first the mic then the boat: they knew what you were doing and how you got to their island. then dad decided he had had enough of the crew's smell & constant noise. i am curious if they could hear the night vision equipment. that seemed to bring them all in to investigate. the growl was interesting, but i didn't see any hair raised so it might have just been a friendly "hello." wolves growl often while they're playing. i am a bit surprised that dad wanted anything to do with the mic since it probably stunk of the crew. maybe a crew member who owns a dog was holding the mic in his lap for a while and the wolf thought he was just eliminating competition? but then it must've become a game, kind of a tug-of-war... and he won. lol

13:03 Ancestral genetic diversity was higher. This is true of all living things and right in line with the biblical account of creation (and contra the claims of "evolution").
@catboyedgeworth2469
@catboyedgeworth2469 2 года назад
false. this is not true of all living things. this is true of wolves in north america, because they were eradicated to near extinction on the rest of the continent, and only a few wolves were able to repopulate once reintroduction and protection efforts began. thus causing a shallow gene pool. only those untouched populations kept their diversity. if what you were saying was true, the untouched population would have lost its diversity at the exact same rate. it couldn't have been "preserved."
@aonyx5270
@aonyx5270 2 года назад
@@catboyedgeworth2469 Agreed it has lost diversity faster due to human persecution and eradication. It is still a fact though that genetic diversity decreases within living organisms over time however because selection selects out portions of dna that are deemed not useful. Whats more, in the case of wolves and many other living things including humans, a few alpha individuals get to seed a majority of the next generation, thus narrowing the gene pool further. Whats even more: mutations represent a loss of functional genetic information, not a gain. Humans and other living things are accumulating mutations at a rate much higher than they can get rid of by selection. As indicated by the bible, the biological world is winding down, on a path from former perfection to degeneration. Of course the process is not so rapid that humans would become extinct anytime soon, but eventually it would happen.
@catboyedgeworth2469
@catboyedgeworth2469 2 года назад
@@aonyx5270 this is all complete nonsense. a few alpha individuals? thats not how wolves or humans work. the only reason a few wolves got to seed the next generation after reintroduction is because there were only a few wolves left to reproduce. wolves and humans seek out those who are least related to them, and diversity increases via natural genetic mutation. if we all came from adam and eve, and diversity decreases, how on earth do you get all the different races & natural diversity in humans? you know nothing about biology and are spreading complete nonsense. be silent.
@aonyx5270
@aonyx5270 2 года назад
@@catboyedgeworth2469 You mean to say you don't know that in a wolf pack, breeding privelege is limited to the alpha male and alpha female? Or that even in humans, some preferred males account for more of the progeny of the next generation than others? or that historically, powerful rulers kept harems and concubines, while ordinary individuals fathered much fewer of the next generation? Even today in some societies. You also don't know that this imbalance is widespread in numerous creatures. And you also don't think this leads to a thinning of the gene pool? You also don't realise that mutations are harmful? Wow. You are, typically, completely brainwashed by the evolutionist machine as well as lacking any ability for critical thinking. As well as having the arrogant touchiness that is the hallmark of the darwiniac.
@catboyedgeworth2469
@catboyedgeworth2469 2 года назад
@@aonyx5270 lmao the whole "alpha" bullcrap was discovered to be a myth by the same guy who coined the term. it is based on the behavior of unrelated captive wolves thrown into an enclosure together. in a wild wolf pack, breeding is limited to the parents. the rest dont reproduce with each other, because they're siblings. the rest of the wolves will all eventually disperse to make their own packs, usually males first, but if their parents die this forces the offspring to disperse early. if there is enough food to go around, younger generations of she-wolves will be allowed to have pups with male dispersals, but the male dispersal is usually not allowed to stay with the pack. sometimes they are though. wolf behavior is complex, but survival is difficult enough without wolves wasting 90% of them just being guard dogs for a single breeding pair their whole lives. all wolves are supposed to disperse and have their own litter eventually. hierarchy is based on maturity & parentage, just like every other social animal. not on some innate "alpha" quality.
