looks like it was a good bike and well used. My only MTB now is a 2012, I really like it. 26" hydraulic disks and hard-tail, is good enough for me.

Makes me glad i didn't sell my Flash, i've only put about 500 miles on it and its in mint condition. Its same paint as this but carbon frame and lefty fork, 26 inch wheels, rides like new! Looking forward to your next vid on this.

Just a suggestion... On Aliexpress there is several budget groupsets like Microshift, Sensah, LTWOO ect. It would be interesting to see how these preform against common groups like shimano Sram... Would it be an idea to make some reviews of the budget Aliexpress groups?

Someone in my area has a 2012 F3 for sale, and I'm taking a hard look at it. The headshok needs a little love, but overall it's pretty darn nice. I have a 2000 F1000, and it has gripshift connected to an X9 derraileur; super fast shifts. The frame is a wee bit small, so this F3 at the next frame size up is calling to me. There is just something cool about these bikes...

Awesome video, bike looked severely neglected. If you use a flat head screwdriver on the back of the bolt head on the water bottle cage bolt it should give it enough tension to unscrew.

I have an interesting problem....so if i clean my drivetrain i get an interesting feeling ... i mean when i pedal its not smooth.( its feels like its popping etc)..when its getting a bit dirty its become super smooth.....chain and casette is not that old, same probleme after replacing both....why is this ? i cant understand...

have you checked if your bottom bracket is properly and tightly screwed on? Sure this is not it but i had a weird popping feeling while pedaling and it was a 1 mm gap that was sliding to the left every time i pedal down. all i had to do is tighten the cranks (Bottom bracket)

Would it be possible, for example, to completely remove the damping/suspension and the bellows Should the headset then be replaced, if so, how? headset be shortened? on this particular Fatty fork? Or could the 5-6-7 cm excess length of the aware of the resulting slight rotation of the geometry and reduction in ground clearance under the bottom bracket, which will be taken away shortly. The goal is a Fatty without damping and without the unnecessary distance to the frame. A short video would be fantastic, there are quite a few who would like something like this :) Thank you very much.

Amazing Chanel! Its something I wanted to do for a while and now with corona crisis, plenty of time to get ready (even though winter is upon us - made in Slovakia but live in Australia) Got a 29er hardtail for a great deal. Paid a fractions of what it would cost me to buy parts separately like SRAM hydraulic breaks, NX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain and a decent fork with tubeless ready rims. Only issue is the small FRAME. (I'm 6.2") Thinking of cheap Chineese BXT carbon frame unless you would have a suggestion for a good budget option.

I thought using a pressure washer is a no no because of water getting forced in to the crank case bearings, hub bearings etc. Or is it ok and just other youtuber bikers being too cautious?

he removed everything, and most likely will replace most bearings. So pressure washing is not a factor

Maybe you misunderstand...The way I read it. He is spending 400.00 to get the bike back where it is ready to use? It says building with just 400.00 in the pocket. Not for 400.00 out of the pocket...??

Cannondale, during a certain period, spent a lot of 'hand time' on their bikes - on the welds, the little things, that made the Cannondale mtb frames some of the lightest and stiffest at the time. Cannondale was very innovative, the Headshok as an example as well as other 'interesting' frame designs. Cannondale generally used higher end derailleurs, shifters, etc. that differentiated Cannondale from other production bikes. Look at the stock weight of this bike - just under 23 pounds! Heck, without going to carbon, where are you going to find a bike with a front suspension that weighs that little? You won't. I just picked up a 2012 Cannondale Flash 3 and, totally stock without upgrading the wheels, going tubeless, leaving the system a 3x10, not making any changes to reduce weight, the bike weighs 26 pounds. A stock 3x10 mtb with Deore drive train and brakes that weighs 26 pounds. That's crazy light.

not really in MTB world... this was a rreally high end bike back in the days, this is a steal... But i really dont have a clue about XC geo etc... But i at least think its a good price...
