Came for cage building, stayed for … everything else. Love the content, people love watching real people working the land, etc… your growth on this channel is all about what you put in, time consuming but it could become a great source of income which would allow you to give us more? Anyways, love the videos ❤
Welcome back!! I missed not seeing you. This was an amazing video. Pros and cons are part of the experience. Stand tall and get back into it. It will a come out for the better. The learning experience is tough, but now you know what to do. Best of luck and keep up the great work. I look forward to more videos.
First of all, amazing video. You're collection is truly beautiful. Also I could really relate to your problems as a fellow bird breeder with 10 years of experience at the age of 18. The ups feel great and the downs feel so bad but at the end of the day. It is still nature and those things just happen. We always try our bests so try to not blame yourself too hard if you make mistakes. My dream is practically what you have already, amazing collection, good breeding setups and aviaries. I currently have 2 aviaries of my own with parakeets with rare colormorphs and king quails but I have to put the hobby on pause cause I'm going to uni next year. Glad my parents are willing to continue for the time I'm away so I don't loose the bloodline. Anyways, it always brings me joy to watch a fellow breeder talk about his passion. Great video and keep up the great work! Greetings from Belgium!
Thanks for the video, sad about the Rosellas, I was warned when I was looking for breeding stock to be careful, he stated husbandry issues in Florida and California, had no idea what that meant though. I also heard there's a lot of PBFD in Rosellas.
Welcome back. I was wondering what had happened to you. I enjoy your videos and learn a lot from them. I have Australian finches and go to your videos learn about them especially breeding. Great content, hope your able to make more videos. Also have purchased finches from you in the past and they are all doing well. Will be purchasing more from you in the future.
Glad to be back 😁, Ive already reduced a few from last year but looks like I still may have to downsize a tad bit more. Its just hard letting them go when your an addict lol
I started out my life with birds through homing pigeons, and one night there was a noise in my coop so I went in, and in the dark, I accidentally stepped on one of my hens and broke it's neck. I felt horrible for a long time, but life went on
Dont be hard on your self brother onwards and upwards your set up is best to none i love ypur videos been some time looking forward to watching your SUCSESS this year cheers Sammy. Oh your content never gets boring
@@paradiseaviary unfortunately i gave up 90% of the birds and we didn't have a breeding season 😬 now I have a few chicks in a Gouldian pair just for the sake of hearing chicks 🥰
Secret with plumheads is to leave them to it. Checking boxes tends to make plumheads do silly things. Ive had them kill chicks and abandon eggs. As soon as i gave up and just left them alone i started having greater success.
Great to see you agsin!!! Im not far from tampa. And im trying to get ideas for a outdoor avairy. Tben i ll be contacting you for gouldia s and owls. Thank you agayfkr coming back on lone.
A beautiful collection, great conditions, a large conservatory for free flights would be nice, about 1000 m2, such a miracle, a gem on the cake, you go in and sit watching the jungle with the sound of the stream, best regards 🐸👀👍😍🐤
Thankyou my friend and yes 100% agree thats the next goal here making a large free flight aviary for the parrots so after the breeding season is over then can be placed in there along with chicks that where hatched out that season.
My man❤❤❤ glad your back on it Mr..excited to see what's coming...it happens to all breeders, i heard this from yhe best breeder in Az, says if you have livestock, youll have dead stock too. Keep up the great work brother
Please buy. Parrot incubation by Rick Jordan. And hand rearing and nursery management by the same auther. they will tell u 99.9% of all u need to know. As long as the pr. Of plumheads are alive. Don't. Worry being a lerning expiriance for you both. ☺
and don’t take it so hard on yourself, mistakes like these happen to everyone. it’s always stressful caring for young chicks, and at least it’s a reminder to always be extra cautious when dealing with them. looking forward to your new uploads!
African species can be a pain in the @ss lol. I have weavers and they built nests last year, but none this year lmao. Such finicky little guys. You could look at them and they will stop breeding LOL.
i can across your videos and i was having the same problem chicks hatching perfectly, but when i put the chicks in a brinsea’s tlc-30 why are they still drying up?!?! please please would love to hear from you !? thanks a million
The brinsea tlc 30 is a brooder not sure why they would drye up in there. Did you have a thermometer neasuring the temp and humidity ? If so what was it ?
@@paradiseaviary i have an additional thermostat in there to get the right reading... when the chick hatched i put in the tlc adjust the temp to 36.5 and decreased it by 2 degrees every 3-4 days... what i don't understand is, does the humidity 46-50 would dry them up?!!! i really don't know what's the proper humidity for baby birds?!!! in your opinion, what would you recommend the humidity be for them to be growing up healthy?!!! the babies from day1, til they started to have pin feathers that's when all the babies started to be dried... you can see their mouth is dried and weaken? thank you for any info you can share, cause i don;t want these chicks to die, if i could saved them..?!!
