My wife and I are actually reading it, great way to get daily reading in and getting through the whole Bible in a year. Of course you can read way more than that in a given day if you are able to. That way is his son Jesus Christ he came to die for us. Salvation is a free gift from God all that believe in the Lord and have placed their Faith in Jesus Christ are saved . Jesus died for us on the cross he was sacrificed and buried and God rose him again in the third day this was done to show he has power over death . If we truly realize we are sinners and need to be saved before a Holy God ask ask the Lord to save us he wants to save us . The problem is man has made religion and wants to ascend by their own works. We can’t do anything other than accept the Lord Jesus Christ we are fallen. I know I’m saved because I have placed my faith in Christ alone for my sins . In addition scripture (kjv ) tells us we are saved by grace through faith .

Jesus is the Savior because he fulfilled the prophecies in the Old Testament time. It's not like how today's Christians recognized Him by holding just the New Testament which was recorded long after His ascension.
