Funniest Crapri moment for me has to be on the motorway, we gets a knock from up back, my mate looking out the window says to me "Well you don't see that everyday..." as on the passenger side this wheel and tyre over took us then whatever thing that was holding us stable stopped and the rear passenger side dropped into the tarmac... Mate (who is a real life dead spit of Eddie out of Bottom (he went to his brother's wedding in a shiny brown suit and steel toecaps)) went and fetched errant wheel, I knocked a lugnut out of the remaining three and jacked up put wheel back on and off we went again. Wheel lugs wasn't done up why it came off lol To highlight true Eddieness of me mate, we were in a pub car park pulling doughnuts in this Vespa with a sidecar and me mate in the sidecar we were acting like proper bell-ends when all of a sudden the mounting bolts for the sidecar came away, sidecar turned turtle in one move and even had a large splat sound, so we pulls it right way up and me mate, covered in claret and tons of cuts everywhere roared with happiness... somehow he managed to NOT spill his pint :D
"Dunno how you get anything done...etc.," somebody's never worked in a garage, have they? That's thinking time, it's how stuff gets done... eventually!😅

Fully agree with fudgey about building it yourself rather that spunk money on some unknown resto. Bought an E30 years ago that had been "restored " and ended up spending double the money on it that I would have building a shitter up . 😅
Have a look at some of the restored cars Yorkshire Car Restorations get in! The Manta was pretty bad but I think Patches the Porsche was considerably worse underneath a full respray.

I am happy for fudge as he's as happy as Larry lol The amount of capris I've had is shocking From rare RS 3.2 twin headlights capri my twin headlights V8 capri ,my gold 30L ghia auto which i changed to manual gearbox Reg FTW 7T Had the car the longest and the year I got married it got stolen Man I was young the my two sons were like 4 and 7 years old now there 34 and 37 and oldest son is a car mechanic paint sprayer , Something that I always loved but because my father was a Roofing specialist I followed him and sadly he passed away recently And a few months before that I suffered a stroke but couldn't tell him because he didn't have long left But going off topic now 😆 I was always a Ford person from lotus mk2 cortina to 1600E mk2 cortina mk1 Mexico escort, practically every 30L capri XR2 , and I XR3 and I I recently gave my HONDA INTEGRA TYPE R DC2 TURBO 400BHP To my oldest son for nothing I've owned and had that car since 2003 and it was a W reg 2000 But I enjoy watching you guys as I wish I would have changed from doing Roofing work with my 👨 for over 40 years to Something that I really love cars a motorbikes Why Because when you don't really love your job even though you still do a high standard professional job Its make getting up early every day. For work not the same So a bit of advice to everyone, Find a job that suits you and you love and you will always be happy and eager to wake ⏰ up for And really for work
