You know what signals a lack of care? Rendering the subtitles in the middle of the damn screen.

Why would you put the subtitles on the middle of the screen?

A true genius can focus on many projects at once, especially when that person is being paid hundreds of millions of dollars to do so. And remember, Jony gave Apple customers “thinnuh” and “lightuh” which meant slower laptops, with less memory, and shorter battery life. Customers wanted to be able to store their media and play it back, not to have to pay to rent their media from giant studios or record companies month after month. Again and again, Apple gave customers what was best for Apple, not what was best for the customer.

Beautifully ironic for logophiles that his word "fanaticism" was mis-transcribed as "phoneticism" in the "subtitles" - if you can call them subtitles when they are in the middle of the screen...supertitles?)

Very poorly designed subtitle placement, not really any consideration to the end user

He mentions about civic responsibility and all that, but Apple has been a horrendous tax evader since the days of Ireland. So meh.

It's easy to sit there and bang on about 'Humanity', 'Care', and 'Civility' when you're sat in your ivory tower, lining your own pockets. Meanwhile, the employees at the sweatshops your company uses are treated so inhumanely. You're a very talented designer, but lets lay off the sycophantic bullshit eh Jonny 🙄🤮
