I actually met him 1-1/2 on Route 1 in Alexandria Va. While I was working. He was a cool guy, talk to me and my coworker for while we replaced a road sign . I knew who he was. His mental health, on top of drugs has taken him down . 🙏🏽 Praying for him to one day to get mind together.

Mark Cuban found him and got him the help he needed. He work for a flooring company now and has a relationship with his daughters again. Things are looking up, but he still has ways to go in terms of mental health, of course.

Folks, you have to address your demons of your past. Ignoring it hoping it will go away never works. It will haunt you at some point in the future so dealing with your problems sooner will always be the best way to live a better life

That's exactly it. If he had sought help from trauma specialists, I am confident he'd have not had all the struggles and demons he's added to his life once he made his money. The drugs, the homelessness. People fail to separate their traumas from their mental issues, or other related struggles. You got to see a specialist for trauma. Normal therapy and psychology can be fine, but it will never be able to directly address and help you heal from your past. It can help some cope, but that's it. Specialists actually work to help you heal those wounds. Drugs are a coping mechanism from unhealed trauma. Just like most other addictions. Nicotine, alcohol, sex... you name it.

Good case for parents who failed him from day one…no guidance and sad for this gentleman. When they make money, their families are the most dependent, and never see the pressure to take care of them, when it’s really their job to be self sufficient. You try bankrolling all your family members and see how it affects your mental health… they never get a chance to just be left alone. I pray that someone with the resources will once again assist him, but he has to want it❤

Bi-polar condition will cause mood swings that unchecked are in many ways uncontrollable. It is very common for people with mental health issues to self-medicate using drugs and alcohol. It may be a quick fix, but it only leads to life-long addiction. With a support system, it can be managed, but the process is slow, which leaves some suffers fustrated, causing an endless battle with mood swings and addiction. Using the words "I'm in recovery," not "I'm an addict," to help change thought process will releave some of the stigma associated with addictions.

While Lebron James got the recognition he deserved Delonte West didn't. I think that was the part of it

crazy thing is if he got his life together hed get a red carpet to do the media rounds on national tv to talk about his story hed easily get a book deal esp since he had the little thing with lebrons mom any publishher would love to market off of that alone hed get paid from his appearances and could make good money with the book deal and then hed just have to invest his money and have some one manage it for him and hed be set but it all starts with him getting help and getting his mind right . hope he can see the light one day

They keep saying another man should help another grown man.... if a grown man cannot help himseld & see he needs help is very tragic.... i dont condone whatever rumours maybe attacted to his name..... but gotdamn if a billionare helps you & you still follow back to your old ways.... ion know what else to say.... the universe can only help you so many times i dont pray but this man needs a miracle not just for him but for his Children

Consider this; the person(s) who should be there to help him are being quiet about Mr. West's situation; LeBron James and his mother are the reason Mr. West current situation.

He should’ve never hit lebrons mom. He know he sold out to the higher ups and will be the top scorer for along time.
