Ever since I saw the film when was first released I have been searching for "What will you do when Jesus comes." . Finally thought I had located this elusive Dylan song, only to find it muted. Can anyone tell me where I can find it? Surely it must be somewhere amongst the wealth of obscure Dylan stuff now available on bootleg or youtube?
You watch Dylan refusing to participate in the pre-dawn hippyness of the first half of this - but respectfully include it in the film, when he edited it TWO YEARS later - and then the second half shows you Dylan improvising in Montreal [?] in autumn 1975, and you can see why people in folk clubs in 1961 thought he wasn't just Woody Guthrie reincarnated, but Charlie Chaplin reincarnated. Truly, "there's so many sides to Dylan - he's round", as someone once said.
