In the second part of a series, John Long Silver continues to showcase his HO toy train "empire." This episode features a detailed switching yard salvaged from the scrap heap of discarded table sections from other hobbyists. Along the way, he also briefly shares interesting facts from Florida's cattle-range history of the late 1800s and early 1900s.

It is neat to see what can be done by merging together castaway layouts to make a highly detailed switching yard.

Thanks. I may have assembled the sawmill from a kit or mixed stuff, just no longer remember its origin.

John, at my age I have a hard time with the HO but I still enjoy them. I have a small 4x6 HO layout. Thanks for sharing yours. I really like your videos. I have watched all you have done!

James, I like your videos too. I am having fun with the ho, particularly in repairing and saving stuff I get on the cheap. I have found out however, that the early Tyco engines with the mu -2 motors are riveted and difficult to repair.@@mytrainroomjamesbarker4079
