The only reason Gordon is so angry is because he cares loads about food, I can really relate to him on it. The guy is so unfairly judged on it, if you watch him outside of dramatic shows, he's really nice.
I'm pretty sure they cut out the bits where people slowly start to piss him off as well. If we saw all of it, we'd probably be just as pissed as he is.
to be honest, i'd just get angry at someone ruining some perfectly good food. Though yeah, a lot of the people are egotistical fucks, and given his background, it isn't surprising that he would act the way he does...

I just wanted to say that I have used many of your videos and I am especially impressed by the meticulous research you must have put into this, given that it may not be a topic of personal interest to you or many others. This one has gone under 2 of my playlists - British Food and Cooking and British Television - though others have gone under more academic playlists or linguistic ones. I love your videos for the clarity, accuracy and pronunciation.
I saw an interview with Ramsay where they asked him why he's so hard on people on his shows. He said that on Master Chef, he tends to easier on the contestants because they're amateurs who have little or no formal training, so he lets them get away with some rookie mistakes, but in later rounds he's a bit harder because they've established that they're more skilled than the others so he holds them to a higher standard. On Hell's Kitchen though, the contestants are all professional chefs, most of whom own their own restaurants, so there's no excuse for doing things like undercooking chicken. They're also working in one of his restaurants, cooking for his customers rather than for judges, so it's also his own personal reputation on the line if they screw up.
Worlds angriest chef? I've worked with angrier chefs. He's not even the angriest celebrity chef. Just look at some of the people he worked under like Marco Pierre White or the great Albert Roux. Ramsay himself admits to being scared of their tempers in his autobiography.
Yes, and the British were the ones who came up with the term "soccer" and used it exclusively until much later on. So they're both terms the British used. One is just a nick name.. which doesn't make it wrong, it's just to avoid confusion. It's just funny that the British are the ones who came up with the damn thing and exclusively used it lol. Obviously I know what it stands for..
People might look at Ramsay's temper and think badly of him, but he's only treating people the way they deserve to be treated. If you're on kitchen nightmares or hell's kitchen, you're professionals. Especially on Hell's kitchen where you're claiming to be the best of the best, Ramsay will of course be pissed when he see things wrong. Ever see him on masterchef Jr? He's very kind there.

this is a nice sum up. I've seen an earlier doc, quite a bit longer, that excluded the nastiness over the stolen res book. so he was quite a piece of work earlier on. some boss to have, eh?
Something to think about is how you announce the bonus fact and how you use your tone of voice to separate the story. It's a little bit monotone and it could use a longer pause in between. maybe Capitalize on persons or the subject at hand every time it is mentioned. I'm not very knowledged on the subject but I'm sure someone could help you improve. I hope the feedback helps a bit.
I thought the same thing. I do believe his intention was to relate the fact that Gordon has the same first name as his dad. Same with Edwin (Buzz) having the same name as his father. Other than that it is completely unrelated.
Funny that he TWICE forgot that he never played for football clubs. The first one's cheesy enough (no pun intended), but the SECOND time?! I've heard of false memories before, but really!

Arcanua the Red Mage Debt does not transfer from parents to kids. Not in the last hundred years. If one of the kids is named executor of esate he/she can settle the debts from the estate but doesnt owe a penny personally.
