I find its one thing to be a Ferrier, its another to see the proficiency you display while also caring for the horses you shod.. you Sir are the best ive see so far. Thank you for showing all the work you do. ❤
A dangerous and physically difficult job done well! As I watch other farriers at work, their soles and frogs are never as clean and smooth. I always thought their knives are not as sharp. I'm glad I finally got to see the sharpening of the knives process. Thank you for sharing your art and full length video!
Yes more hoof and restoration videos with rescue horses. I'd like to see and hear what their problem is, how you fix it and what future care would be needed for full restoration, all the good stuff! I love your work, you're knowledgeable and gentle. 2 of the best qualities to have. 🐎👍😎
I saw many videos about changing horseshoes, but you are the best and most professional teacher and you have the highest equipment. I really enjoy watching your work.
LOVE the longer format ! the entire process is so interesting to me - i'm an orthodontist and i used to practice with dogs and horses and they're the most loving animals EVER. so i love seeing the full thing hope you do more of these
Sharp focus on his work. It looks well made shoes, balance and fit very well. Only thing missing was a smile from a farrier 😊. Handsome chap. (Talking about the horse, but of course the gentleman too 😅)
oh my god i cant imagine the pain you experience later on your arms, legs, hands, lower back and neck after working on the hooves for a such a long time. this is a very hard work i admire you so much!
I keep coming back to this beautiful video. And I’m having a hard time finding words that make sence. But if someone asked me to describe you, my answer would always be.. The best! In many ways the very best. This video is the most beautiful you have made so far Brett❤🇺🇸🇩🇰
This was an excellent video capturing the entire process. The mobile setup was really interesting, if you do another start-to-finish video I'd love to see more of the trailer and the tools of the trade. Kudos to the outstanding camera person, the skilled and capable Ferrier, and the cooperative client (horse). Thanks for the great video 🙂
Wow, thanks for showing us some of your tools & the layout of your shop. I’m endeavoring to restore our blacksmith shop. Since I’m a retired urbanite with lots of time on his hands I’ve undertaken a project I know nothing about. Our blacksmith shop dates back to the Civil War era and is in need of serious restoration. I have to learn on the run. If you ever make it to Las Vegas come by for a visit. The Spring Mountain Ranch is just 25 miles west of Las Vegas via Highways 160 and 159.
keep it up friend! love your content and admire your work SO MUCH 🩷 i adore horses and love seeing their owners taking such good care of them - especially if you rescue them. you're such a perfectionist too ! i can see you have such a strong connection with them too. appreciate you!
Every farrier I ever knew went to school at 18 or 19 to school to learn the art and walked like a cripple when he was 35. It's not easy but it well worth the money. If you ever took care of you own horses hoofs, you know what I mean.
This is super interesting. I’m completely ignorant to this art. I was wondering if it’s possible to have one of these full videos with his commentary. The whole time I wonder what the purpose of it all is. I have infinite number of questions. Like, why each tool? Why all the hammering? When is the horseshoe perfect? How do you know how much to cut? I can see him taking little pauses for perhaps the quick but precise calculation, measurements, etc. The amount of experience is obvious here that he makes it look so easy. So neat.
It's a careful job! I was horrified when I saw a video of a horse's leg bleeding from overdoing it the other day, but in this video I didn't have to worry about that at all. I could feel the care and attention to detail in the process, and I was able to watch with peace of mind and feel comfortable. I'm sure the horse feels at ease and is entrusted with it. Ha, beautiful. Perfect cleanup and happy face!
Oh yes cool!!! Start to finish im watching this whole thing when i get home!! Oooh pretty horsey. Ok so can we just appreciate how damn cute he is..omg he needs to smile more 😊😊😊❤
Nice work, but for me, it would be much more interesting, if you commented on your videos, while working... I prefere to watch those who talk and explain while working
I wouldn't qualify this as a hoof restoration. It's really a re-shoeing video. In other true hoof restoration videos I've watched, it was horridly overgrown, which is borderline animal cruelty, but that's what it is. Other restoration videos of tools or other objects usually involve a complete overhaul of the object. So, just saying, I found the term restoration used here to be a little misleading, but I enjoyed watching the work!
