He is my absolute favorite makeup artist. He is so creative and he truly makes makeup an art. You do not see that often. He is so passionate in what he does.
I truly enjoy watching Scott in his creative zone. He's kind of all over the place... but I totally follow along because it's his artistic brain moving faster than his words Lol I love it. Don't stop uploading behind the scenes! This is great 💜💜💜
I LOOOOVVVEE that minimal packaging! Using just a sleeve is so thoughtful, still shows the brand label, and looks great! Why doesn't everyone do that?!?! All other packaging is just so unnecessary and harmful since it immediately just goes in the trash!
You don’t understand the excitement I have for these! And to see the whole process just shows the passion and input you put into your products Scott! ❤️ cannot wait to try them xxx
I love that you made colors that YOU need. That's what I want. Then you said, "I hope that we can find outfits to go with these." I thought, "Yes, Scott! That's you running the show instead of letting fashion dictate your launch." Brilliant. Really.
I always look forward to your videos!!! Love how you show the process but my favorite part to watch are the Photoshoots at the end. You think you could go more in depth as to how you plan a photoshoot and bring your vision to life?… Like from Outfits, Shoes and Accessories!!! So obsessed with your videos!!! Love you Scott!!! Can’t wait to purchase these blushes!!!
I’m in love with Plastic Pink and the yellow one reminds me of one of flowers in Puerto Rico called Canarias, it’s like the Canaries , birds that are yellow. I don’t know the origins of where the came from. They grow like Hibiscus, which we also have in the Island. I heard you love reds and orange, try searching for one of our Island trees, Flamboyan, they grow on a tree but look like a cascade of red orange orchids. I have my late mom’s painting of the tree in front of a wooden house in the mountains!🥰
Love these blushes. Never thought I could wear these strong colors, but watching him put it on his models, makes me think I could. He should also get JLo. Man, that would be a great video!
💖Trio idea is great for the Fall …Trio Using three shades separately in the same color family to use separately or fade together… lightest to darkest for easy blending…🥰
Can't wait !!! Scott please do a movie explain which colors can be mixed for every skin tone. I have a fair skin tone with Rozeca and would like to have Mango . Which colors are the best for me ....thx
I like the point is being made about the solid colors in the pan will mix with the skin tone and what you put next to it. The most striking looks I've got were from a yellow and purple combo(where it transitions looks like brown, I swear I'm salivating just thinking about it) and yellow and blue(super daring, amazing!) That's what I like about make up, you can mix colors and get your perfect shade. I have a fatal attraction for Cold Orange(Coral?), when I bought clothes of that shade, I'm stuffed! I don't know if it's because I'm the palest of the palest(seriously don't trust the profile picture, I haven't meet anyone lighter than me, ever) and I have a yellow undertone. But with make up, I can fix it. So when you get a scary color, just play with it. Look up Colour Theory and see what that colour need. Even with nail polish, when a colour is at the bottom or it's too thick, just add a fresh one. It could be a colour that you don't like much(that's the most satisfying, 2 birds with one stone) or a color you are bored of. You can add a bit at the time and get each nail of a grading shade(shake bottle well before applying) or don't mix it at all and you'll get a wonderful design on the nails. Or add a clear and you can use it as a special effect top coat(eg. marble effect? Use a colour that doesn't have white/titanium oxide/zinc in it) As Mr Barnes was saying, adjust the intensity. Just add a bit at the time, I'm too heavy handed sometimes 😔 Yes, he's a professional with plenty of experience. But as individuals, we have an advantage; we have to work only with our own features, our own coloring, our own taste and we can take it wherever we like. 😊
WTF? Pretty pink didn't make the launch! I'm so white with a blue undertone, Scott. I need to make a vampire makeup line. I keep getting left out or discontinued on.
I know this is old but I'm also a vampire and a blue based bubblegum pink blush looks fantastic on skintones like ours. It gives a natural just in from the cold flush. There are a ton of shades like this now, specifically Dior's Backstage Rosy Glow in Pink, Persona Bubble (powder and stick formula), Nars Thrill or Gaiety, Fenty Bikini Martini and Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Bubbly. I've been wearing this color blush for years and absolutely love that it's now popular. I don't own any Scott Barnes blushes but I think Ultra Pink has this type of shade description.
I neeeed the yellow I’ve been draping with mango fizz and blending it out with this pale warm yellow eye shadow from color pop- I’d die for your quality to replace that in my process
I think the intent is for you to mix them. You know how some makeup colors have undertones like red, yellow or neutral undertones? I think he gives you the true color and then like a painter you mix the yellow with another color to create the undertone you are wanting. That’s my hypothesis though.
He actually shows how to use it in another video of his but he uses it as a base to build on top of or to blend on top of other shades it’s so interesting 😊❤️
What is behind her in frame 8:93...and the girl he is talking too...blah blan and not the 1. No enthusiasm or she doesn't blend with him...like no conversation dul responses back at him...come on girl do better
Loving all the blushes but we need videos on how to use them especially the yellow. Many followers already purchased the blush palette so we will need to be sold as to why we should continue purchasing. And deep dark skin models on IG is just not good enough they need to be the focus of your videos too. Will the day ever come when a dark skin model gets the prestigious label of “chameleon”? Or is that just for the fair skinned? Hoping the team at Scott Barnes beauty can help change the game where it counts.
Didn't he just explained times and times how u can use the yellow?? I guess u missed it...yellow can go so beautifully on darker skins too. He said he uses yellow on the edges of eyes to make them pop.. or uses it to defuse some colors like mixes it with some hot pink to reduce the color intensity. He also showed on the models that yellow can be used not as a blush but as a beautiful summery eyeshadow...
Aren't photography, modeling sessions lighting-rich environments? How will the shades stand up to the heavy lights on these sets? By light-sensitive does it mean the pigment is easily compromised? Shelf-life?
PLEASE BRING BACK THE BLUSH PALLETS. it’s easier to hold and create Iike you do verses hold one at a time. Or add magnets so we can use the pallet case. Thanks you.
Just curious maybe this is dumb but are those the only skin tones they use for reference. Those didn’t seem to get too deep….is that what JC used lol 😂 But serious question, was that the range of skin tones that cosmetic formulators use.
@@timaglam9140 not true. Just because something shows up on medium deep doesn’t mean it’ll show up on deep dark skin especially deep dark skins with various undertones
@@alexangel4758 yeah that’s what I was getting it. It looked like he was comparing blushes to different skin tones on those cards but they ranged from like nipple pink to pale olive….
