In this episode, we'll be taking a look at the 2000s.
We had finally made it to the new millennium. We evaded the dreaded Y2K without a hitch, and social media began its meteoric rise with MySpace, Friendster, Facebook and Twitter.
From boy bands and iPods to reality TV and Juicy Couture sweatsuits, it was a golden age of pop culture.
The decade of the 2000s is also the beginning of Scott Barnes’ personal success story in the makeup world. He developed his groundbreaking product, the Original Body Bling, began working with Jennifer Lopez, and started creating what would become some of the most iconic beauty looks of the time.

Totally agree, I was a bit older in the 2000’s and my make up was a touch different. I had more definition in the crease and more blending, but same type of sparkle shades. In fact, I’ve still got 2 of the shades I used to use in Bare Minerals loose eye shadow, also purchased from QVC and later replenished in the next decade at Debenhams. I still love them now.

We need to freeze time so we don’t run out of this series 😫 I am getting so upset thinking about the decades getting to the present. Scott’s right though, we can’t move forward until we go back! I have watched every single episode in this series! I've enjoyed it SO MUCH!! I graduated high school in the early 2000's, and this installment made me realize...my makeup is a bit dated. Guess it's time for a revamp. Thanks again, you are awesome and Laken is wonderful!

Omgggg 2002 over plucking my eyebrows- Mac blue and purple eye shadow with frost all the way up to your over plucked eyebrows. Over tanning- slapping on Dream matte moose foundation that was 10xs darker than your skin with Mac bronzer, I swear everyone called me and info Loompa in high school but I didn’t care I didn’t want to be pale! I used my fingers for all make up! Juicy couture , Ed Hardy, On my space you where rich with a bedazzled Ed hardy hat and juicy track suit! Paris Hilton with the small dogs. Pink razor phone from Motorola I feel the 2000’s look is still apart of me today! I’m going to miss your time travel series I feel is now in 2021 there’s really no trends except for Everyone being an entrepreneur because we can’t keep up with capitalism And everyone being glued to their phones.. Thank you so much for this video it brought me back to the best times of my life! I’ll be turning 31 next month ♥️

Boy bands and Britney and Christina and some of these trends you mention in here are things that came towards the end of the 90’s. Reality shows were booming and I didn’t want my MTV anymore. The velour track suit was on my mind and I had 20 palettes of glowey-bronzy neutral eyeshadow palettes. I guess I was busy been a mom and I felt that the was no trend, nothing that pointed to this decade and made it

I was a tween/teen in the 2000s. I’m a few months than Laken. Some notable 2000’s movies are You got served, Fast and the Furious, Legally Blonde, and 13 going on 30. Some notable music is Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Usher and so many others.

The Lippie book is great! I had one but pared down my lip collection. My cousin, who wanted to be in makeup and hair, has it now. Oh the Devil Wear Prada - "gird your loins!" Early Emily Blunt. Now her career is huge.
